Just gonna be honest, all this was fantastic. Not only were you able to play such an iconic melody throughout many precision instruments, but the fact that some of them were the main instruments for the other worlds in the New Super Mario Bros was just the icing on the cake for me. I am not the most naturally talented person. I’ve taught a lot of students who had more natural timing, learned faster, etc… It’s the years, days, hours behind the instruments. A lot of time!! But if you love it then the time happens. All the best!

Mario on a Steel Pan just unlocked a deep memory.
Back in Elementary school our 5th grade music class was basically an entire year of steel drums/pan culminating in several trips to other elementary schools both in our district and outside, to put on concerts for their student bodies. (We even got to perform at Seattle Center as part of Northwest Folklife). I learned something like 6 songs that year, 3 as part of my homeroom class and 3 more as part of "Pantages" which was kinda like the honor club of the 5th grade steel pans.
One song I didn't actually learn though was the Mario theme, but one of my buddies knew it on piano and tapped it out one day during a break. I had totally forgotten about that little encounter until just now.
