Hey guys! So good to see you again - hope your week has gotten off to a good start! I'm finding these daily uploads are challenging me but its a good challenge! its definitely kept me disciplined and also made me prioritise and organise things better. I hope you guys are enjoying the videos - let me know if the houseplant tips are getting boring - happy to take in suggestions for next videos as well! Please let me know!
Can totally appreciate that daily videos would be super challenging! And not that I would want to add pressure, in fact I only say this to share my appreciation, but I was at the shops today when I remembered that I'd have another video of yours to look forward to later tonight! I'm going through some awful stuff with one of my roommates at the moment and it is really taking a toll on my mental health, so I must let you know how helpful and therapeutic I am finding your videos at the moment. So very much appreciated. I know I have mentioned this before, but I really do love listening to you talk! So calming and gentle, not too loud and in your face like so many other content creators seem to get to stuck in!

This was an excellent video on caring for the polybotrya. I have one as well, which I keep indoors. Initially I was a little meh about it, but it has definitely grown on me, and it grows like crazy, though it's leaves haven't reached the size of yours.
The only thing I can add is another way of knowing if the plant is thirsty is she droops, or her leaves become soft, not as firm. Oh and she loves, loves Seasol.

This is one of my favorite Peperomia! I have her in my bathroom and it’s thriving in winter. Peperomia sp. is the best

Thanks Jess for your hard work. I'm actually loving your in-depth help with individual plants, and a tour of your Dad's backyard garden would be great or update on the plants you keep outside (under your balcony) I was so mad at myself because last week I accidentally overwatered my polybotrya. It's in a cover pot and a little bit of water left at the bottom! I'll check it more carefully next time.

My polybotra is pretty leggy too! I don’t know if it’s due to watering issues or lack of light but it sure is a forgiving plant! 🌱
it is isnt it! the leaves on mine started to get super big but it toppled over in the wind and damaged some of them 😭😭
This is really helpful thank you. I found a variegated version which I’ve never seen before so I’m hoping I can keep him happy. His leaves are currently very soft and not succulent like, so I think I’ve left it too long to water it but I’m sure it’ll bounce back now I’ve watered it. It was only watered about 5 days ago so it’s clearly a very thirsty plant. 🙃

Why do some of my peperomia leaves have bumps on them?
I just got mine in the mail from Etsy about a week ago and it arrived pretty good but now I did notice the bumps on some of the leaves coming out. What is it and what can I do to fix it?

So I've made a stupid mistake of overwintering one of my plants, got 3 PEPEROMIA POLYBOTRYA, all doing well, with one of them losing two leaves due to yellowing, didn't realize there was a water build up in plant container, realized what a mistake i've made, removed excess water and plant should do well, all 3 of them have flowered and I keep them in my northern window I am keeping them on a window ledge now ,as it is late September and direct sunlight won't hurt them, but will move them indoors in late October. BTW my plants are growing fast, new branches and new leaves popping out fast.
Mine is a slow grower and not leggy. The leaves are actually really cramped in the center and couldn't spread out because they have short petioles. I tried stem propagation and it also did not grow any roots. :( But it is still one of my favorites.

Hi Jessy I have got the plant and its been indoors but now the leaves are droopy and i dont know what to do. I have watered it. I am in sydney and its cold in the mornings . do i put it put a couple of hours when the sun is out. Thanks ,Sheena
Mine has grown to be about 2ft tall but I find that it’s too heavy and cannot stand upright. I have orchid sticks clipped on to each main stem to keep it upright.
Any suggestions?

I've always wanted this plant and finally got one a week ago, at 6:53 it was mentioned about leaves folded up, I've noticed my leaves have started curling down (or backward), what can I do to fix it? I'm having trouble finding solutions for it😥.
Hey E-K! Sorry for the late reply but thanks so much for the lovely comment - I really appreciate it! How is your watering schedule for the plant? I find that unless you've got a good watering schedule (i don't have the best) the leaves dont come out all nice and flat but a bit curled

hello, hv you ever prpagate this plant bfore? bcs mine was kinda like grow well but i want to propagate but dunno how. either it can propagate from leaves or the stem and nods.
Heya! no not yet - but you can propagate by taking a stem with a leaf on it and sticking it in a propagation vessel with water. I think the roots start to form in 5-7 weeks. Hope this helps!

@@jessypotplants some leaves are in pretty bad shape and got some powdery mildew. How do you water it? Does this need direct sun or not?
@@matzinca hmm - to get rid of the mildew spray it with some soapy water and neem oil if you have some consistently for the next couple of days. I water it by completely saturating the pot. No direct sunlight - just some bright indirect light for about 4-5 hrs of day is good

why do some leaves grow deformed? it seems like for no reason
My Poly gone a bit limpy, bottom leaves are bit soft, not succulent.. do you think under watering? I don't want to drown it either.. thanks
heya! suggest checking the roots to see if there is rot but there also may be a chance that it hasn't been watered for a while? My leaves droop when it hasn't been watered
@@jessypotplants Thanks for the reply, It was a bit too dry, after given it a good drink, took a day or two to bounce back.

aw im sorry to hear! do you have a regular watering schedule? the curling leaves sound like they dont get enough water
@@jessypotplants I've tried the bottom watering method and thank god it works!! the leaves become hard again but the curling still happening.
