I can’t believe it took me this long to share some of this old footage from 2021, but this trip was too special not to share. In this video, we will be taking a day trip from Athens to Meteora, the largest UNESCO World Heritage site in Greece where 24 monasteries sit atop sandstone cliffs. This place is so special and it’s still one of the most surreal and otherworldly places that I’ve ever been to. Stay till the end for some travel tips! This is on our list for our next visit……was the train “process” pretty easy?
Hi!! Yes, it was pretty easy! Once you buy your train tickets and show the people at the train station via email or print, you’re all good to go! I would just make sure to remember when your train is if you plan on going back to Athens the same day and make sure that you have transportation planned to get back down from the monasteries. We really winged it and so that part was a little stressful!

@@hankdickson8308 Thanks for watching! Yes, our taxi in particular was 10 euros. For the train, we paid 22.6 euros each way from Athens, but this was in 2021 so I’m guessing that it might have risen a little bit? We booked ours on hellenictrain.gr. Please let me know if you have any other questions! I know it can be hard navigating routes in Greece (I make my bf do it haha) so let me know!
