      @@tidybrickslandscaping Well, went for it and bought a couple of grabos, and tested one out first thing this morning. May have required a bit more pushing down than something completely flat, but I can confirm they work on textured paving and a rusty old cast iron manhole (cause it just happened to be there). So, many thanks for making me aware of this awesome addition to my tool bag, and for making my life so much easier!

    Need to ask the patio god a question 🙋🏻 I’m laying Indian sand stone and using a resin sand brushed Into the joints. Can I seal over the joints or would that effect the draining ability of the expensive sand joint mix? I’m thinking I need to seal them them brush it in??? Thanks

    • @tidybrickslandscaping
      @tidybrickslandscaping  Před 3 lety +1

      Personally I’m not a huge fan of that resin sand brushed in stuff it never really goes that hard and if you do use it make sure you don’t just push it in with a brush you firm it down with the jointer and try make it as compact as possible.
      Before you use a sealer on the sandstone let me ask you a question how long has the Patio been down you should not seal a patio for at least the first 6 to 12 months depending on allowing salt to come through the stone first before you seal otherwise it will bubble under the sealer and it don’t look good believe me I’ve been there.

    • @elliottdebell7783
      @elliottdebell7783 Před 3 lety +1

      @@tidybrickslandscaping thank god I asked you lol still laying it now so yes makes sense it needs to dry fully before it’s sealed. Gives me a reason not to do it for 6 months 😂👍🏼. You used the grout for sandstone? I like the idea of the resin sand as it still allows water through it. As the slabs aren’t quite flat I like that water can still drain.
