- TRAVELLING AXE- Made by Matt @MatthewAmsbaugh
Thankyou @KevinsDisobedience for getting it here!
The goal of this is to get this axe to reach as many people as possible and then to have each person take down and process a whole tree with it as part of the Cordwood Challenge Mini challenges.
In a few weeks time i will be Having @benscottwoodchopper and @MrDesmostylus down to do some camping and hopefully give them a chance to use the axe before it gets sent on to the next person!
Vegemite sandwich anyone? ;)
So glad to see you back chopping again, especially with this axe. Made my day!
That's excellent!
Maybe some day , in the summertime the traveling axe can arrive in Alaska for a chop.
Awesome video Owen! Looking forward to seeing Ben and Simon have a swing with it.
I'm glad to see this axe again. Last time I saw saw it Killinger had it.
That was very nice to watch! I really liked all of the different camera angles. You swing an axe very well. Comfortable, paced, deliberate and articulate. Not sure if it’s the wood or just your skill, but you definitely made easy work out of that tree.
Great video! Such a cool idea!
I like this idea. Not a lot of axes get used by multiple people with the same handle. These videos really give me a lot of envy when it comes to felling. I need to find a place I can fell some trees already!
You should join the cordwood group and do the one tree challenge!
@@KevinsDisobedience I plan on doing that one tree challenge. I mean I really want to. I will find a way.
Lovely video, looks like a good axe
It chops, it limbs, it splits....it does it all.
Great video too.
Nice work! I was wondering what happened to that axe glad to see it's still traveling.
Go the Travellin' Axe! Nice vid too, what's the wood your chopping? Beautiful patch of forest
Silver Birch. Been given a small corner to work in and they don't mind me starting early on the birch, as they don't want it to regrow anyway. Lovely wood to chop in general and makes decent firewood. You can make handles from it, if you can find one big enough.
Really neat idea Mr. Owen, and beautiful chopping and camera work...ps. I read up on Vegamite, you axe fellas are a well-travelled bunch and I am getting quite the education...
Song lyrics 😜
@@elemental4rce over my head again Mr. Owen, naive I am....
@@Brian2bears Hello Mr. Brian. An Australian rock band called Men at Work released a song in 1981 named "Down Under" which had a line "He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich".
@@brettbrown9814 Ah....yes. A great tune, sticks in the head, I missed the Vegamite part however...
wow video quality is so much better now
happens when you first upload videos. Usually give it an eye to fully upload in HD before i post but i was impatient.
I'll try the Vegemite if you try Spam.
Spam is actually pretty damn good when fried in a pan. Not sure I’d want to eat it raw but…
@@KevinsDisobedience Spam and Vegemite sandwich mmmmm haha
@@KevinsDisobedience
Spam is great fried, or mashed and baked, or raw, ect ect.
It gives pretty good heat, 50/50 on power and really helps with falling asleep.
Great stuff and the can makes a good drinking cup.
