  • This video is going to give you some great insight on how to understand when it is the best time to be fishing based off the tides. This method is called the Law Of Thirds. I hope with this little tip it gives you some new insight on when you should be out there targeting those game fish species and ultimately helps you become a better angler.

After 55+ years of research I've determined that the best time to go fishing is when they're biting

Nice video C.A. Very informative like always. What about areas with low tidal movement for example the Laguna Madre? Our water flow is mostly pushed by the prevailing SE wind would the law of 3rds still work with small tidal movement? Thank you for all the videos

Where I live in the gulf of St Vincent, we have a neap tide/dodge tide, every 2nd week. So would a neap tide be good for fishing or not good for fishing? Cheers

I heard you talking about flats but I also heard the tide have no effect on flats (Ex. Mosquito Lagoon)

Stupid question, but how would the law of 3 look on the outgoing ? Still better to target the first 2/3 phases?

I don't see it fella. Maybe in your location and for the species you're targeting. In Nova Scotia high tide is where it's at.
    Thanks for the info nonetheless.
