      Thanks Grumpy 1. And yes the best moves are made when the years are like this. You wait, another month and most guys will be unloading all kinds of equipment. Maybe I pick up a nice Arctic or MetalPless.

    My fellow greek, my friend has a CAT 910M, they sell OEM mud-flaps for the 910M, 914M & 918M worth buying(my two cents) in fact I made some and installed on my 908M, I-reached out to Dirt Ninja (Tom) and was kind enough to come down to my shop and help me install my Metal Pless (8-36-14), he agreed perfect size for the 908M ,regarding your pusher on the 908M, YES was to big 12FT, especially in cement snow, would not go larger then a 10 ft. box on that machine, at least with the wing plow you can cheat with wings if real heavy etc. Anyways looks great & congrats!

    • @SnowBoss
      @SnowBoss  Před 4 lety

      Hello Philip 🇬🇷. Yes 12' way to big for 908. But regardless, it was just too small of a machine for that property. The 914 will serve us well. Paul from MP suggests putting either the 10-36-18 or the 12-36-18 on the 914. We'll see. Where are you located?

    The 914 cat loader is a better machine for bigger properties. I would choose a arctic sectional snow pusher it still saves a lot of salt you already have one Metalpless pusher so you should purchase the arctic snow pusher that's what i would do both snow pushers are a great combination

    • @SnowBoss
      @SnowBoss  Před 4 lety

      Yes the 914 is a lot more machine. It's basically brand new with only 168 hours. I got a great deal basically +30% off new. I am highly considering the Arctic. The scrape is very good (second only to MP) and about half the price. But, the MP is definitely more adaptable because it can be all things at anytime, where the Arctic is only a push box.

    • @nocoolname32
      @nocoolname32 Před 3 lety

      agree on having 1 of each, 2 metal pless on the same property is a bit of overkill if you ask me. get a 17' wide sectional, good lord you'd be doing some work.

    • @SnowBoss
      @SnowBoss  Před 4 lety +1

      Welcome to the channel Michael!! Thanks for leaving a comment. My area is the second largest warehouse distribution area in the country. There is tons of work to be had. And they are building 10's of millions sf more. I didn't buy those loaders new for that reason, that's crazy money. I buy them out of the rental fleet at my CAT dealer, they are practically new and low hours but, I save about 30%-50% off new. Again thanks for the sub!

  • @scottmcquarrie7295
    @scottmcquarrie7295 Před rokem

    The one reason why I would never buy a Cat wheel loader is because they eliminated the FNR lever on the left side of the steering wheel. If they wanted to put the FNR button on the bucket lever fine, but don't eliminate the left hand lever all together. They should give us a choice.

    • @SnowBoss
      @SnowBoss  Před rokem

      So I used to drive a backhoe for many years and felt the same with the left side stick. But I gotta be honest, myself and the operators would never go back. The FNR on the right is just so easy. But, my 950GC's do have the left shift stick plus the FNR so CAT still has it on some models.

    • @scottmcquarrie7295
      @scottmcquarrie7295 Před rokem

      @@SnowBoss I understand. And everyone is welcome to operate the way they want. I myself, don't like the FNR on the bucket lever because we use a lot of side dump buckets around my area and when operating the bucket, plus, the side dump feature and throwing it into neutral, or forward and reverse is just too much for one lever. And the left lever was working great for many years, plus I don't really see it as an improvement. Cat in recent years cat doesn't know the difference between motion and progress. I think Cat went way down hill with their Excavator line. The Dozers and loaders are still premium, especially track loaders. But everything else, is junk.

      @SnowBoss  Před rokem

      @@scottmcquarrie7295 I could see where all that would be cumbersome. But with what we do for snow and the wing plows it's perfect. We haven't had any problems with our loaders and skids, but every manufacturer has their issues.
