I worked for RDF USA which later became Zodiak media and was on the team that filmed Hardcore Pawn. This show was a work. More than half of the individuals filmed were given these items out of the back of the pawn shop and told to bring them in as customers to be filmed for a TV show. A big issue was the people thinking they should get paid for being on a TV show and participating by bringing something in so they started giving people 20 to 25.00 gift cards to none other than the pawn shop to do the spots on camera. I remember clearly the day Lex Luger brought his memorabilia in and he was surprised that the show was so worked up.
This CZcamsr needs to read the definition of brawl.

I think those 2 had a history outside the Pawn shop IMO. Those interactions were not customer/employee style interactions. More personal. Wouldn't be surprised they were once friends now bitter enemies or something along those lines.

More than half of the people bringing things in to sell or Pawn were given those items out of the back of the store before filming their spots. People started getting indignant that they were being filmed and contributing to a television show but not getting compensated so the production team bought $500.00 per week of $25 gift cards to the pawn shop and started handing them to the people that would film spots so they didn't cause trouble.
I miss this show and lizard lick towing :/ havnt seen them in years. Operation repo can wait for my viewing. I know all these shows are scriped but I still love them

I was on the production team that filmed this show at RDF USA which later became Zodiak Media and there were attempts to get the horse to s*** in the building but it just didn't happen.

Anyone who knows equine at all knows thats not a 35k horse xD Still pretty though! That is topline Andy prices and no way is that horse near topline. Even if it was, you wouldn't handle it the way she did so casually, and it's totally not worked on at all if basic manners like walking by your handler is happening.
Basically if it is 35k for breed/bloodline, she fuckin' ruined it. It's only worth 10k at that point, if that were topline that is.

Why would someone sell a living animal that needs specialized care (much less TWO of them!) to a pawn shop and people who have no experience with horses?? This had to be a set-up -- no one who loves horses would do that.

The people pawning the items started to kind of protest and demand that they get paid or compensated somehow for being involved in a TV show so the idea of the $25 gift cards was brought about and instituted.

Absolutely all of it is. The only almost genuine spot is when Lex Luger came in and even that was worked out with Luger's team and the store prior to any filming. I worked for RDF USA which later became the Zodiak Media during the last filming season and all of it is a work.. the people that were filmed were given $25 gift cards to the shop bought by the production team and the majority of the people filmed were given the items out of the back of the store prior to their spots being filmed. The only reason the $25.00 gift cards started getting handed out was because the individuals getting filmed started getting irritated that they were contributing to a semi popular show and not getting compensated in any way so to ease the frustrations the production team would buy $100 worth of $25 gift cards per week so we could film..
