In my opinion, Eddie does love Richie. In one of the memories in the losers' clubhouse, the one where Richie said that they aren't afraid of spiders, Eddie immediately took off his hair cover thingy to look cool or even brave in front of Richie. Also, the part when the losers were making Pennywise small, Richie and Eddie were left alone. I have a theory where Eddie told Richie his feelings for him, only Richie didn't want to tell the others for some reasons that I'm still trying to figure out. I love this song btw. The ending though... I sing this every time I want to remember Reddie and then i cry. Also, in the past, an inverted triangle is a sign to like disrespect or like bully gay people. The first time Pennywise appeared to Eddie, the formation of his balloons was an inverted triangle, as to show he was making fun of Eddie for his sexuality.( It does kind of make sense why Pennywise would use an old thing to make fun of Eddie, as he was on Earth for a couple billion years).
