Then Islam is booked to fight Charles Oliveira, the Dagestani haters say "this is not deserved", Makhachev bulldozes Charles. They still say it was undeserved.
He got the privilege to fight for the belt in Abu Dhabi, because the UFC wanted him to win.
Charles has been in the UFC for 14 years, but they refused to give him the chance to fight in Brazil.

Using your logic, Khabib was in the UFC longer than Conor, but I doubt you care that he was 3 years' overdue to win a belt due to his win over RDA, all thanks to Conor jumping the line after losing to Bum Diaz.
It's unfortunate when there are clearly external factors that drive this discriminating views on Dagestani fighters. Especially the political & religious aspects. Muslim fighters have proven to be at the top of the sport, so of course they generate a market in the Middle East. That isn’t “privilege” that’s called success in the sport being commodified into events. Same for Americans and Brazilians. The Muslims fighters get a disproportionate amount of hate which is observable and demonstrable.

The only reason there are more dagestan fighters in Abu Dhabi because first Khabib was one of the first fighters to headline an event there so a lot of fans from Abu Dhabi are fans of the Dagis and 2nd it is easier for international fighters especially fighters from Russia to get into Abu Dhabi then it is to get in America
Yeah russian fighters don't fight regularly in the us because it's hard to get for them and their team to all get a visa. That's why abu dhabi cards normally have lots of russians because they don't need a visa and they can bring a lot of people over

The case against Dagestani fighters Ive seen online is
1. They popped for performance enhancing drugs like Islam did but no media coverage made it big
2. The rules as they are favor wrestlers, no kicks or stomps to grounded opponent unlike in pride.
3. They have a very strict fight schedule like won’t take fight unless they have a full 8 weeks fight campz
4.They don’t fight on Ramadan
5. Abu dhabi card are funded by rich oil tycoons and they want to other fellow Muslims fight and headline the card.
This isn’t Islamophobia, its just a critique while yes some immature fans blend the two but thats just the MMA community, we joke, we talk shit, sometimes it gets racey but its just jokes. The religion of Islam creates disciplined and powerful fighters.
It’s harder to go on a 10 fight win streak in the UFC than it is to go 3-2 with 1 top 5 win like a Yair or Colby or Strickland to get a title title shot.

Askar Askarov was the #1 contender at Flyweight for the longest time, and he never got a title shot. He was undefeated, beat Pantoja, Moreno & Benavidez, but never got a title shot. And the UFC sent him back to Russia after one controverial defeat against Kara-France.
Askarov is excellent, but he's a one dimensional wrestler, he doesn't finish his opponents, and out of all these daghestanis, he's the only one we've never heard of, even though he's managed by the infamous Ali Abdelaziz...
So yeah, there's no daghestani privilege. That's a myth.
If a guy is very good, gets some finishes in high profile fights and has a good fanbase, he'll get pushed, doesn't matter if he comes from Russia, China, or f***** Pluto...
Makhachev is big in the Middle-East and in Eurasia. Plus, Abu Dhabi and Saudi are paying the UFC millions and millons of $ to hold events in the middle east. No wonder the UFC wants him to headline Abu Dhabi every year.

I’m not sure you’ve disproved it, necessarily. I think it’s entirely possible and reasonable that the UFC wants to appeal to the middle eastern market for financial gain. I wouldn’t call it strictly Dagestani privilege though. I would throw Khamzat in there, and really anyone that can make them more money and open/widen that existing market, and other markets they’re looking at growing.
