I thought the new actress was kind of bad, tbh. The original actress way way better.
Who Dat Ninja In my opinion, I thought Laura Benanti was much better as Astra. Her Alura did nothing to help Kara on her journey to becoming Supergirl. With Erica’s her Alura was so much more involved with the story and had a sense of humbleness and humility. Her Alura helped Kara see she lost sight of who she was, and that she needed to get back to her roots. And the fact we actually got to see Alura fight *with* Kara instead of just guiding her is another reason why I like Erica’s more.
I love both actresses, but those are just my thoughts. 😁🤷🏻♀️
