Our Jandy/Pentair system controls pump activation times - including Pool/Spa mode-change-pause and heater cool-downs. Letting the pump control its own on and off times fully undermines critical control and system-driven timing functions -- and other than using the pump program to set a universal RPM -- the pump programming is wholly incompatible with our system. And in that case, I'd be better off swapping in a simple (slightly) lower HP single-speed motor. Please advise if I am missing something here.
Anyone else have their VGreen 165 randomly turn off all the time? The motor will stop spinning but the control keeps going along as if it is spinning. Hitting stop or start does nothing. You have to power cycle it in order to get it to run again.
The default settings total 16 hours. Once thru the steps, will the unit wait 8 hours before starting? I just need 6 hours each day and step 1 can handle that. Will the unit sit idle for the next 18 hours?
I had same issue and this guide tells me that yes, it will wait if I comprehended it correctly. Even this video is great, I have to go slowly step by step, return, reply, record and then I have the whole picture. To run this video just once in my case won't form my gray matter enough to get it.
Had I known the controls were a convoluted hodge podge, I would have skipped it. The company selling it (inyo pools) has a product video which shows you a different product with a much better interface. You find out all these features are not available, unless you spend 188 dollars for an ad-on timer unit.
Wow! what a terrible interface and programming timer. I will continue looking for a variable speed replacement motor that has simple controls. I want it to run its normal schedule to circulate the pool every day. When the pool guy comes to vacuum, he needs to be able to hit a button to speed up the motor for increased suction, then revert back to the normal schedule in say 30 minutes. I also want a separate button for a heat setting, where the pump runs fast enough to satisfy the heater, but not as slow as just circulate mode. And finally, I want a button for when we use the spa, so that it runs on high speed. The last two should continue until I choose to cancel them. Guess I have more videos to watch!
I got this pump and honestly the controls are simpler then expected, I instantly regretted it when i saw the console and then it grew on me quickly for how easy it is. Plus i worry about the suitability of an LCD screen outside for years. But these simple LEDs under a little panel should last much longer.
Great just reprogrammed my pump!

With this pump you would no longer need a pump timer? If not, are you able to turn on and turn off (20 min before) a pool heater?
Una consulta q tipo y de cuántos faradios es el capacitor de arranque para un motor de 1hp saludos

Can waterway pumps be controlled by an easytouch or a intellitouch?

I have 2 of the ps165vsp pumps each worked for 2 years and you cannot buy the control boards anyware. Century want you to keep buying a new motor!!!!!
Not true, I can buy the boards fairly cheap at my local supplier. I've installed hundreds of these and never a problem. You're doing something wrong.
@@jedcarson3769 Jed could you please send me the information, I have tried everything, josephug@yahoo.com
Yeah, please share a link or contact info for your local supplier.
@steelerfan77777 could you please share a link? It's not that easy to find, imo.

Yeah, the interface is terrible. In addition, the buttons on my control button stopped working. I cannot even turn the stupid thing on.
