Was there last September. Did the whole Shenandoah park enjoyed it so much. You should see a lot of deer. If you can stop in and eat at the Big Meadows lodge and the Skyline lodge. Both were phenomenal and I mean phenomenal!!
That burger with an egg over easy looked delicious! I had my first burger with egg in Lynchburg. It must be unique to that area of Virginia. Keep heading north!
Wow! What a rockpile! Btw, those 40-some degree mornings in May are what we call Blackberry Winter. We had three of them here in the Johnson City area.
I'm still following you along on the AT every day. So exciting. You do a great job capturing it on video. As much as I hiked the woods near my original home as a boy, I never got poison ivy. Once my Daddy burned some weeds off a bank and got a real bad case of poison ivy.. I was right there with him, didn't bother me. I'm just lucky I guess? If I was on the AT my trail name would be "Lone Wolf"
Congrats on a tough hike! I explored Spy Rock in 1998 at sunset. The snake you saw near the stream looked like a mature Northern Water Snake. Like Black Rat Snakes, water snakes darken as they age obscuring the pattern visible on the smaller snakes.
Great job Chuck! Keep it up! The rocks are gonna get rougher but you got it. I haven't done PA, but they were pretty tough in NH. I've done section hikes hoping to do a thru when I retire.
Thanks. We look at the rocks to this point as training for what’s yet to come. I do hope that you get to do your thru hike. It’s an adventure you’ll never forget
Wow! What beautiful views on the side trail!! yes you do warm up quickly when you are hiking no matter how cold. WOW! To come out of the woods to see an Awesome view!!! I am so allergic to poison ivy and oak, yep stay clear! Great views! Great video!!
Ooooof! What a day! We went the other way….down 3 Ridges….but then had to go up the Priest. Like you said…..up and down! You’re going to get it one way or the other! Great job! Well deserved burger!
Wow what a day you both had. Those rocks had me nervous. Thank you for all you do to put these videos out. The views were amazing. Take care and stay safe. God bless
Only God would create such beauty for us to enjoy. Enjoy it Bandit when you get old days are long and years are short.
Yes indeed!
That was gnarly Bandit. I have watched a lot of CZcamsr’s but I never recall anyone filming that section. Wow you are awesome
Wow, thanks!
I don’t think I have ever saw a video on this section either!

Good trail name. I hear about 25% of people are not allergic

Thanks. I had some others tell me the same thing. I didn’t think it looked venomous

The burger location is in Virginia. You had said it was in North Carolina. I think most people watching these videos will know it is not NC.
Ooops. Thanks. Sometimes what’s in my head doesn’t always come out of my mouth
Impressive!!
Thanks
Foggy may be a bit cooler than beating sun.
Yep. Just a bit more humid
How did you meet Bluegrass? He didn't seem out of breath at the top...lol
Met him on trail. He’s a marathon runner, so he doesn’t get out of breath like I do
water snake
Thanks
How's your leg doing these days Bandit?
Much better. Still gets sore at times, but nothing major
I know you were a rock climber
Not really 😃
