Thank you for nice words. The gearbox is a little clunky, but I guess the driver has to take some of the blame for the clunky clutch....:). All in all the K1600 GT/GTL is a wonderfull machine.

this speed you can also go with a 250cc bike, super slow in curves
so, buy and drive a 250cc.

I am considering getting a big touring bike. My 2 choices are the K1600 or the Harley Davidson Ultra Ltd. I honestly can't decide which one I want! Spectacular ride by the way.👍👍🏍🏍
Hi. I have driven both the K1600 and the HD Electra Glide. I guess it depending on where you want to drive and what kind of roads you want to drive. In my experience the HD loves the long and straigth roads and the K1600 loves the winding roads.

Which is more fun: going up or going down something like Trollstigen? I've never had the chance to ride a road like that.
I guess there may be different opinions about this, but me, I like driving uphill. Let the bike pull me throught the turns and further up.

Is the gear box klunky?
Yes, I think so. There is also a quick shift function.
quickshift is for high rpm they need to use clutch but is big story!!is marketing quickshift is for moto gp not for us and no good fo the gearbox

Yes, there is. I can recommend Speed MC (www.speedmc.no) located right outside the city of Sandefjord, a little more than 1 hour drive from Oslo. Nice and friendly people with good bikes.

A beautiful landscape and a fantastic motorcycle. Unfortunately, the driver lacks an understanding of the machine itself and motorcycling in general.
Hi. I can see that you a have a tough choice to make. I am not an expert, but I guess it depends on what kind of roads you want to drive. I once drove an HD Electra Glide on Route 66 from Chicago till LA. It was wonderfull on the long highways, but when we hit the winding roads I found that the foot pegs hit the road too much for my driving style. I am a fan of the BMW, but I guess it will not be the right bike for everyone.
