  • Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Western Cullen Hayes 12x24 inch lights with GE LEDs, and an Invensys Rail gate mechanism.
Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and a General Signals Type-2 electronic bell.
This crossing is on Rainier Rail's Chehalis line.
Today I caught Rainier Rail with a locomotive I've seen once before but was unable to film -- CWW 2074.
The signal on the right has been completely replaced since the last time I've filmed this crossing. Since there's a broken gate arm on the side of the road, I assume it was struck by a vehicle.

So nice to see that 2074 out and about again, we sold that to them last year, it had sat in storage for almost 10 years

Interesting! Do you know what purpose Rainier Rail bought it for?

@@southwestwashingtonrailfan6110 I’m not exactly sure, I’m thinking they just needed extra power

Any idea why it smokes so much?

@@marcbaine1817 probably just needs timing adjustment or governor rack setting adjusted. I know they put all new injectors in it, and when you do that you have to adjust each injector to match the flow rates of each other, if you don’t, then this happens
