Unscrew the two screws on the back of the washer top panel. Slide panel back with the dryer on and bam you can pull control panel and all off to get to the drain pump. Don’t have to undo anything with the dryer. When time management is the game this kind of stuff takes forever to do. Hauling the equipment in and out, disconnecting the dryer. You don’t have to do any of that.
The top cover is made of sheetmetal and is not sturdy enough to handle the weight of the dryer unless it is supported by the washer. It only slides back 2" so there is not enough space to get to the front cover screws once the control panel is off.
How did you reach the other side to get the bracket off? That’s the problem I have. I got one off but can reach the other side because if such a tight space.
@@raybosflorida4928 My hubby and his friend were able to slide my all-in-one combo out. Very tight but they were lift it onto a ramp then move it out of the way.
I'm in the same situation. Tiny closet at end of our kitchen. The closet is super tight. We got our Kenmores from sears. Now that they're out of business, we had to go with local repair guys. Problem is that they didn't even want to attempt to move the washer and dryer out. So be basically have to move everything ourselves so they can work on it. Then we'd have to move it back.
I love that cart! Don’t forget to mention that there’s two carts one handles 500lb and the other 1000lbs. The 1000lb cart raises higher than the 500lb unit. You can use the big cart to move ice machines and convection ovens. Show them the AllDolley next.
Dam that's an easy one. So many I work on. you don't get to the back of the machine till you get the entire unit out of the closet so you can get at the back. No room whatsoever. For one job I had to pull the door and the door stops to get the matching to squeeze through the door jams.
Good job Mike ,Quick question where do you get a lift like that from? An if your doing a Dryer vent cleaning would you just pull the whole things out not removing the brackets?
You can get the lift off of amazon and maybe Harbor Freight along with the sliding appliance floor mat he use to move the appliance on to protect the floors.
Hey great video Mike, I love that lift that you have, where did you purchase that from ? I have the same problem no help getting the dryer off, please let me know as soon as you can thankyou, keep up the good work!
Hey Mike, I found the lift table at Harbor Freight and have now replaced my washer and dryer using that lift table by myself. Thanks Mike, great job, keep up the good work my brother.
Thanks for the lift info! When I called Samsung those brilliant people didn't mention anything about a lift. So being old, pregnant or 90 pounds dripping wet was not an option to "move it myself". Totally relieved! P.S. shouldn't the gas be turned off first?
Our dryer went out, the repair guys that came over didn't even want to try to remove it. They basically said we have to figure out how to move it ourselves and then give them a call to fix it. If that's the case, we'll give someone else a call who can do the job.
That is an accident waiting to happen.. Why not just use an AllDolly? You will eventually drop a AD or damage the flooring not worth the risk. Just invest in the proper tools for the job
right, why would you use a "tool" that needs a dolly just to get it in the house. And why do you show a video of a place that has the space to use one of those dollies. It's a waste of money for something you can only use most of the time. Seems you make videos like this because of boredom?
Mike, I gain so much knowledge each time I watch one of your videos. Thank you.
Was thinking that a harbor freight cart might work to get my dryer off my washer. Thanks for confirming it for me.
You the man with the plan! Luv this knowledge!
Thanks for the video. Your lift is awesome. Smart man, work smart!

@@raybosflorida4928 My hubby and his friend were able to slide my all-in-one combo out. Very tight but they were lift it onto a ramp then move it out of the way.
GREAT QUESTION! I AM SURE THAT HAPPENS . . . ESPECIALLY IN OLDER PLACES THAT HAVE BEEN RENOVATED.

Do you have a part # for that tool/dolly?

Same here
Hello can you provide the details for the lift? I will need to rent or purchase one for our unit to be serviced. Thank you.

Mike Reed. How heavy are those lifts? Many techs say they are heavy and they rather go with alldolly?
KorgmcUSA they are heavy! Real heavy. Harbor Freight website says 88lbs for the small lift. Feels like 100lbs. AllDolly is light but bulky.
Mike Reed we use these type of lifts at work to remove small print machines for labeling capsules.
Where can I get that cart.
Harbor freight and northern tools
Appliance Boot Camp thank you
@@callsneed I never knew this existed. Thank you ABC!

RIDICULOUS DESIGN! VERY FRUSTRATING THAT THEY DON'T THINK "PRACTICALLY" WHEN DESIGNING A SPACE. COME ON MAN!

That will only work if the machine is facing you, my machine is in there
Side facing me in the closet
I got the same problem. Repair guys we called for the dryer wouldn't even touch it.
What a carts?
You COULD SELL A LOT OF THOSE LIFTS.
you can lean those back and access the drain pump from the bottom without having to remove the dryer! Try it next time !
The cost of the cart is $300+, so if you're looking to do this yourself, you're better off asking for help or paying someone to fix it.
