MvC2: Hulk Double Gamma Crush Tutorial

- This is a project I've had on my mind for a long time. It feels good to have it completed/uploaded. My goal with this video was to explain the Double Gamma Crush glitch and to show a vast array of match practical setups.
This is Hulk's most damaging and useful offensive weapon. I hope that Hulk players use this video as a resource to build teams around Hulk. As I wrote in the video, these are not all of the setups possible, there are more. Feel free to ask questions about the glitch and about setups.

The 2008 Hulk film starring Edward Norton is great and is one of the most overlooked/underrated films in the MCU. It's unfortunate that there were issues between Norton and the producers & directors because it would have been awesome to see more films with Norton portraying Banner/Hulk. - Hry

Sometimes I do it with Strider Hiryu Legion: cr.lk, cr.hp, Legion (wait for the first Legion animation to appear) and then DHC to Gamma Crush (the first hit of Gamma Crush will send the opponent towards Legion which will hold the opponent at a specific height for later the double glitch Gamma Crush).

MagusOld is the first player I've seen do the Double Gamma Crush in matches. He already has been doing it frequently for years, so I don't think he will do it more.
Will Hulk now be viable for top tier teams?

not quite.
you could, however try and use him as a DHC-in for death combos in a ton of teams making those teams a lot better.
still, Hulk, even though the damage potential is crazy, has a pretty bad neutral game in comparison to the top tier characters, chances are you will not be able to actually land anything on characters like Cable, Storm or Sentinel.
Magneto can have some issues, though.... as he'll need to get close and has a higher chance of actually being hit by Hulk.
Anyway, if you're MagusOld, then nothing matters and you'll be able to hunt and kill top tier teams for the vast majority of the player base hahaha

He is viable but it's a gimmick your using to win but its definitely viable but u have to back him with top tier characters imo

I messed around with a silly combo in the corner. Depending on when you cancel Roundhouse Gamma Charge, the opponent might get hit once by one of the ground rocks of Gamma Wave. Then you can OTG light kick into Roundhouse Gamma Charge, and then with an assist you can connect the Double Gamma Crush. This almost does KO damage.
That actually sounds cool. Are you sure you mean Gamma Wave? It sounds like you're talking about Gamma Quake (where the rocks fall from the sky).

@@Romneto I 100% meant Gamma Wave. That should be the one where Hulk lifts the rocks off the ground in the super, right? I mainly set it up with Hayato's Air Assist. It's hard to determine what timing exactly is the best to get the one super hit so you can OTG after, but once you find it, it's easier to get more consistently. I only used Roundhouse Gamma Charge since it does a small bit more damage than Standing Fierce in that scenario, but it's not really something you need to try since the opponent will be pretty much done for if they've taken damage from earlier.

Nice idea but hyper grav tempest is fairly slow and Hulk could easily just block it.

I had once done a triple glitched crush against sentinel, still didn't kill the beefy boi though.
I don't think a triple glitched crush is possible. I'm guessing you are joking.
@@Romneto I'm not, I've replicated it once in training mode, it's been years. I'm gagetlover if you remember/makes it credible. I think sentinel has such a fat hitbox that it was possible, but only on him I imagine. Not practical at all though, can't remember what assist I used.

@@Romneto I know man, been on the tekken 7 grind, my controllers are all beat up and my Xbox is collecting dust. Been on PC and hoping for a new version to come out that never came. Been watching you all these years though, thank you for all the content. Maybe one day I'll come back...

im super confused, what part is the glitch? It just looks like hulks gamma crush hitting higher up which is a thing for moves like that to do more damage the higher they are in the air. Am i missing something?
The extra (double) damage is the glitch. I believe that I did a good job of making that clear in the video.
A normal gamma crush only does 1 large chunk of damage (40 damage vs standard defense characters) but when the opponent is held in mid air for the duration of Gamma Crush it deals 2 huge chunks of damage.
It's the difference between a character surviving and a character being removed from the census.
Poor Roll doesn’t get shown in matchmaking videos.

@@Romneto Any of them. I also haven't seen anyone use Roll in tournaments and I will never understand why people in the vs. Capcom community keeps shitting on Roll. My apologies for going too far.
Haha, how to exploit a 20 year old glitch. Should not be fixed though, because Sentinel / Storm will still wreck anything if you are not MagusOld.
