The 1920s. Palestine is ruled by Britain. Independent Poland is suffering from economic depression and racism, torn between right and left, as the local Jewish community struggles for its rights. Several of its famous writers embark on a journey to Eretz Israel and report the Yiddish speaking world about their encounter with the Holy Land and with Jerusalem in particular.
