Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
No items in battle (only held)
No overleveling the next gym leader

Dunno if anyone has pointed this out but Unaware ignores the stat changes of opponents, not yourself, so Calm Mind would've still been viable with Woobat. In fact, if anything it would be very effective vs stat boosting opponents

I thought it just negated all stat changes of every pokemon on the field, thank u mr bunny for educating those of us who played this for fun
Also, unaware + stored power is incredible asffff. After you set up cosmic powers/calm mind, the opponent will do almost no damage but the stored power will destroy and sweep

I was thinking that Clefairy is sometimes played with unaware and calm mind ^^

It has 3 agility boosts you dumbazs
It’s low on health so It’s a risk
Cho would have been good aswel using surf, but Cho was also on low HP
Gliscor “He who must not be named” was the MVP by far wasn’t missing anything and swept multiple teams
Its amazing how many attacks can gliscor learn from the move rememberer. I dont understand tho why didnt he evolve gligar much earlier considering you can get razorfang in the battle subway. It could have been better for drayden with the ice fang and for colress with sky uppercut/fire fang
Gliscor is one of the best of all time. If Ground Flying alone wouldnt be broken, add massive attack, defensw, good speed, swords dance, and a number of other good moves. Getting rid of Marshall like that is insane

Loved the video, just wanted to point out that Woobat evolves into Swoobat through friendship so you would have had 2 fully evolved Pokemon way earlier
He could've evolved his woobat at the same point as his golbat

Really like the fact you played this in challenge mode. I've always felt it offers the best experience in these games
Only issue is challenge mode is poorly programmed. A lot of the pokemon despite having higher levels actually still have the stats of their lower level versions from base game

I love how you manage to make a 30 minute video feel like an informative hour-long video that's satisfying to watch!
A few tips for this:
You could’ve evolved gligar WAY earlier since it’s evolution item can be bought from the PWT or battle subway using BP
You could’ve evolved swoobat WAY earlier since it’s a friendship evolution
Unaware only negates opponent’s stat boosts not your own
You should’ve named Altaria Norbert. It might be unfitting in a way, but Altaria is a dragon type, and Norbert is a dragon.

Thank you for maintaining the monotype runs. Shiny runs, Ron hacks, randomisers are fun too, but personally I think nothing beats a classic hc monotype nuzlocke.
Love the name scheme of this video. My fave is also the Prisoner of Azkaban. If I may suggest an idea for a video; a Steel type nuzlocke or a Randomizer nuzlocke with the names being either the characters or weapons of the show RWBY.
10:00 I'm not trying to be a nitpick Nancy or anything but I did think of a possibly better move in this instance. Not by too much but when Onix exploded, I think it might've been a safer play to go for Roost in this instance, since if he goes for explosion (especially if he crits), it would've given you more health to work with against other pokemon. Though I understand maybe not doing it in case he doesn't explode though I still think it would be helpful either way since he would end up exploding at some point anyway.
Especially since if you didnt misclick and click roost against sandslash, you wouldve lost swanna to that crit.
I'm not a nuzlocke expert or anything by any means so maybe I'm overlooking something but that's just a thought that might come in handy on future runs like this ^^

The AI doesn't go for explosion if Onix is at max, the better play was to Air Slash or a very small damaging move to break sturdy and then bubblebeam
@@ThePompeu123 Yea true. Though what I meant was when he was already at sturdy and about to explode, Antlerboy went for a bubble beam when it was dead already. But yours seems like a better play all around.

Ah a Harry Potter themed name scheme for all Flying types is spot on because Quidditch.
Also, Pursuit does double damage when you switch out.

Ironically, Voldemort was the hero this run needed. My favorite book was probably the order of the phoenix. I think the department of mysteries fight was my favorite moment in the series.

I actually did this challenge run a few months ago myself, was hella fun honestly although I used the dream radar to give myself a starter swablu
calm mind still works with woobat line, you just can't intimidate, growl or leer it then switch in to woobat
I think Braviy was VIP of the run and my favorite Harry Potter book is number 3 as well.

Honestly, Buckbeak and Voldemort were the true MVPs, with Harry being an Honorable Mention. Voldemort decimated the E4, and Buckbeak absolutely CLUTCHED several battles. I’d have to give the MVP to Buckbeak, every time he managed to pull some type of comeback off I could just imagine the loud USA Anthem playing in my head.
