Just this weekend, seven French troops in Mali were injured and one UN peacekeeper killed in a four-hour rocket, mortar and car bomb attack on their camp at Timbuktu airport. Five years after the French army intervened in Mali to stop an Islamist insurgency, our reporters Claire Paccalin and Fanny Allard have been to the east of the country, which is still far from stabilized. They followed French and Malian soldiers in their operations to fight terrorists and win the trust of the population.
A programme prepared by Patrick Lovett and Rebecca Martin.

Mali is a respectable country in Africa Continent. May peace continues in Mali. Peace is SWEET. One Mali. One People
Respect to the legion 💪
Respect to the French legion. I hope French Soidier is slaughtered.
Perso, servi 7 ans sous-off... 126°RI, 5°RI, 16°BCP ;)
@French& Scottish Relis mon post, je ne dis absolument pas cela, ayant servi dans 3 unités de l'Armée de Terre.
Thank you legionere❤️
😍
Good France more attack
Everywhere French goers in Africa there 's trouble.
Len Everywhere africans go in europe, there is trouble
The French army intervene after the demand of the president of Mali.
More like they are trying to help you out.
French troops are present in Mali and other Sahelian countries at the request of the countries concerned. In 60 years of independence, Africans have not been able to manage themselves, to build armies capable of defending their own interests, to establish solid infrastructures, schools, hospitals, social protection systems, etc. These countries, however rich, have been on a drip from the MFI and other financial institutions for 60 years. Your leaders, on the other hand, have well-stocked offshore accounts, while a large part of the population lives in poverty, and the migration rate increases year after year to come and live at the expense of European taxpayers. Your continent is plagued by corruption and the inability to manage itself. So take it out on your leaders and go and spit your hate elsewhere.
Yes because we're asked to resolve those problems
