Debbie made Paula see the Cougar side of their relationship, which Sally saw when she first found out about Sophie and Paula, but, she came round, realising Sophie and Paula love each other and made Kevin realise it too, awww to see Paula crying aswell, but she did say I think we can get through this and survive this, because she loves Sophie and vice-versa, Long Live 'Our Darlings'

Paula knew Sophie wasnt really happy with doing her course & as Paula said her face lit up when she saw photos of Kate being away. Didn't like the way she left,could ave left on a happier terms. Not even a kiss goodbye. But at least they ave not split up.

Paula was such a wonderful Girlfriend/Partner to support Sophie in this. I'm telling you this Trip is just what Sophie needs. When she meets other Ladies in Cambodia she's going to meet all kinds of Young Ladies who are entrepreneurs who had to work twice as hard in terms of getting their education. She'll come back refreshed and enthusiastic and then she'll be able to do her course. Paula could have reminded her of what she said to her about Isla last year and Paula's own adventures in her 20's. Also Paula's legal skills will be needed for Alya for Speed Daal in terms of ownership.

What an abrupt exit. Not even a make up scene, Paula's just suddenly standing with the rest of the family to say goodbye and the audience is supposed to fill in the gaps between Sophie being upset/betrayed and suddenly bidding Paula farewell like nothing happened? Yikes @ this writing.
Margaret Bostock think it’s more to do with the writers not knowing when Brooke will want to come back after maternity. They don’t want them together in case Paula is gone before Sophie comes back. They can easily say Sophie and Kate decided to travel somewhere else if Brooke doesn’t come back after 9 months (maternity)
@@BadNewsBrit well to be fair I'm still unsure if they are together or not. I meant they have chose a cliff hanger, and up in the air. I understand they are not sure with th e tors but that can be said for any other characters, when they mite chose to leave.. ie Ken and Claudia, Sally and Tim they still give them storylines without knowing the full outcome. So with this in mind I believe they should have given it a clear direction and then changed it at a later date. xXx

I thought it was pretty clear what the writers had intended - that Sally offering her two cents helped Sophie to realize that Paula wasn't rejecting her. The implication seems pretty clear that Sophie and Paula at some point talked it out and made up. I just wish we would have gotten to actually *see* that conversation. Especially given that this was meant to be an emotional send-off for Brooke, it would have made sense as an acknowledgement that Sophie and Paula's relationship is actually important to Sophie's character development on the show. None of that would have taken away from leaving the future of their relationship open to production scheduling changes for Brooke's maternity leave. It was just really lazy writing and I'm annoyed by it lol.

I for one was very confused, I believe they are together because of my interpretation of their relationship and how the scenes played out. (I know others have taken it as a total break up so corrie can put Paula with a man as her character is Bi) My take on it is that IF they had brome up Paula would never move to the street of her ex partner and all her family, she would back out of her offer on Claudia's flat. Thetefore bein pretty much the end of her character and storyline....
Yes I agree with you Margaret, Paula and Sophie deserved better treatment, I am so angry that Stirling and Brooke did not give enough air time, I think they have stretched screech y Gemma story line too much and they should give Sinead and Daniel an episode of their own. The Corrie writers need to take a hard look at the way they handle LGBT storylines as well. Let us hope that they do not think our Paula. Long live saula xx
They need Daran Little back or have Katie Oates talk to him. He is so brilliant at doing LGBT Storylines most notably EastEnders. He also worked on US Soaps All My Children 1970-2011 and The Young & The Restless 1973-Present but he like Mal Young (EastEnders) realized writing for a UK Soap & US Soap are as different as Night & Day.

Word around The Campfire would be that Paula is going to Sleep with Tracy Barlow. God I hope that's not true. Tracy is going to be furious knowing that Paula got the Home she wanted for herself to live with Steve & Amy. She's going to play on Paula's loneliness and go on about she didn't what she wanted.

Here's a fun discovery I made about Stirling Gallacher. She was born on November 30th which as you know was the day that Girls Aloud were officially announced to The World or at least The UK. It was also the Birthday of Dick Clark 1929-2012 whose Show American Bandstand also featured some of the biggest names in Music as well as UK Artists. In fact in the 1980's practically every single act that was on was from England, Wham, Banarama, ABC, Tears For Fears, Five STar and Madness. In the 1960's they also had Chad & Jeremy, Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield, and even The Yardbirds in a Satellite Performance.
They’ve had to make up a quick way to get her off Corrie for a while because Brooke (who plays Sophie) is pregnant and having her baby soon so this episode was a bit chaotic because they probably needed to get it finished

10susan10 Faye Brookes who plays Kate has left the show indefinitely. The door is open for a possible return one day but I won’t hold my breath at the moment. She was engaged but that broke down after she left the show. She wasn’t pregnant. Brooke Vincent is pregnant and on maternity leave. The ending is pretty ambiguous. Paula did say she thinks they can make it through it so I don’t think it’s a break up, it’s more Paula giving Sophie some freedom to decided what she wants to do. And to see the world, I think it could have been better written but then it’s a soap and there’s always fan fiction. Hopefully once she’s back from leave they’ll still be together. I really think wasted them both over the last few months. Hopefully they’ll give Paula an interesting case to work on soon.
