Great! Great! Super Great video! I've been waiting to see this for a long time, thank you so much! I always felt and knew deep inside, that this particular revolver would perform as it did. In fact, that 5 shot group looks like it measures [1"]! Super "ACCURATE" and compact really does make it the "ULTIMATE" self defense and survival Revolver, Mr. Revolver guy ! Thanks again👍
The ransom rest is great. Thanks for all your work with these vids. If you do this video again, I would love to see the 3 inch kimber DASA with the rest.
Mr. "Revolver Guy" I'm definitely going to set up my S&W 629 PC 2.63" exactly as you did, mounting those DL sights. You know, my strength has always been my gifted shooting ability particularly with revolvers. I have shot 5 rounds with my snub-nose 629 revolver into a 2.5" group off hand from 25 yards! My weakness is selling such a great revolver then realizing my mistake. Your videos on this gun have inspired me to buy another. Now that I again purchased and have this particular model I intend to keep it. With all the testing you have demonstrated in your videos pertaining to this particular revolver, and my ability to shoot this revolver, I plan to carry it for self protection and defense.
Just found your channel. Watched a dozen or so of your vids. I have enjoyed all so far. I also enjoy match quality 22s and own several that you shoot. Enjoy the revolver stuff too! Looking forward to catching up on you library of vids. Thanks!
Great videos. I own one of these 629s. It is a fantastic woods gun that can (for me) double as a concealed carry piece. I find it easy to present, the DA trigger is fantastic, and the ejector rod isn't too short like on some snubbies.
240 grains and 20+ grains of accurate arms out of a Dan Wesson from the 1980’s did a group like that at 50 with a ransom rest at the range. The range had a ransom rest that they would loan out but there were no users other than a few silhouette shooters
I don't use it much for revolver loads, but it is a really good powder in semi-autos, especially the .40 S&W. It gives high velocities, but lower pressure than most other powders.
Is it possible to fire a 5 shot group using the same chamber for all shots? I’ve always wondered how much chamber variation affects accuracy in a revolver.
Man you really are trying to put me to work LOL. If I did only one chamber I am sure someone would come along and say statistically that proves nothing that you would have to shoot 5 shots thru each chamber to see if there were changes. --- This will require some long thought 😁 plus I do not think anyone would want to see such a long video.

You did WHAT -- intervention time. No look I understand we all have those that just got away, life happens
I once shot a half inch group from 75 yards with my S&W model 36 using my big toe.
Very informative. Great job as usual!!

Could you do a video shooting the christensen arms ranger with budget 22lr ammo? Such as cci standard, minimags or others.

By the way it proves to be very accurate in 300Blackout 😁
Just ordered those rear sights from Dave Lock finally. What would you say is their trajectory at 7 yards? Center Hold?
Center hold sir
whoops, I thought you gave up 22lr..............sweet, all in a days work !!
👍

@@Dayattherange I’d be happy with just 5 shots out of a single chamber. But your right it probably wouldn’t prove anything. 👍
Where can i get that set up
I don't load 300BLK; do you use it in subsonic or supersonic loads?
I have used it for both
Have you ever used Longshot powder in .44Spl brass?
I have stayed away from Longshot with all the claims of increased flame cutting in revolvers.
DATR, no rabbit hole with this one...............................
Better watch all the way to the end LOL 😁
