      I agree, i was just stopped along that trail many years ago eating and the guy next to me forgot there was a rock in front of him after eating lunch, rolled his FJ40 while the rest of us were not even watching the guy, we were just eating lunch, good thing he had seat belt and roll bar in his FJ40. Accidents can happen even stopping for a lunch break.

    • @jpetrowich
      @jpetrowich  Před 4 lety +4

      We are a group who call ourselves the "Qwaaazy 8s" We categorize our jeeps into 3 classes, "Locker Stocker", "Super Stocker", and "Open Class".
      Locker Stocker - Vehicle has to appear totally stock. Any modifications have to be invisible other than roll over protection which is encouraged. Typical mods would be lockers front and rear, lower transmission and transfer case gears, 12 volt electrical system. You can run any tire so long as it fits on a stock wheel that is no wider than 5" The white jeep, patina light blue jeep, jeep with tow bar, and bright blue jeep all fit into this class. They all have lock right lockers in the stock axles, T90-C gears in their transmissions, and either Teraflex or JP Rockeater low gears in their transfer cases. They are all running the original L134 flat head motor.
      Super Stocker - Vehicle can have any modification but needs to appear stock from 20 feet. Two hard rules are that that you have to maintain an 80" wheelbase and wheels have to be stock and no wider than 5". Typical mods would be V6 engine, fuel injection, lower gears, .... The common denominator between the two classes is the 80" wheelbase and stock wheels no wider than 5". The other jeeps in the video not mentioned previously are "Super Stock"
      Open Class - Anything goes but the jeep has to have flat fenders to resemble an early Willys or GPW.
      If you watch our videos from 2017 you will see a red jeep with white wheels "Lumpy". This jeep is bone stock with open differentials.

      @@jpetrowich that would be really bizzare if I end up with a prototype. But everything is identical, minus the access panel on the cowel in front of the windshield passenger side. Other than that it's identical to the jeep at 4:00

    So that what an old cj3 looks like underneath never crawled under to look as mines to reliable and nothings broke under it yet. Fuel,oil,spark,and a little squirting of ether all they ever need.

    Those Willy’s with the window frames down and single roll bar behind the seats scare me, and that blue rig with no roll bars at all oh my! 😳 Had the roll over been that blue Willy’s we’d most likely be looking at a snapped neck. Foolish

    and queue the comments about off roading without a roll cage... well think about this: 40,000 fatalities on america's roads in 2017! I agree it's better to have a cage, but you're way more likely to die just driving around. and nobody thinks twice about that.
