I really wish ford would make this truck again. And no I’m not talking about the new ranger that came out. In my option that’s not a ranger. These were the best selling trucks ford had made...
100% agree. It's hard to find one in really good condition
The first Sport Trac was perfect. A 5.0 option would have been great.
The OLD Ranger 1969
My dad had one straight 6 "UNBREAKABLE" almost
He sold it to me when I was 21-23yr's young
MY FIRST TRUCK
I parked it in 1994-95 for something better-faster😞😒
A motorcycle
🤔BIG MISTAKE
I just let it sit there and ROTTE 😥😥😥😥
I had to get rid of it after a house fire 😭😭😭😭
I still have the "RANGER" plates from the sides. The dash & headlight assembly.O and wing windows O yeah the toolbox in the passenger side of the bed.
I should have kept the front grill. Heck the hole truck.
I can still hear the sound the doors made when they opened
I MISS THAT TRUCK
😞😞😞😞😞😞😞
I’ve been tempted to sell if, but I’m keeping my ‘98. Bought it new. Regular cab 7’ bed 4.0 4wd all options. It’s a Frankenstein; just keep replacing parts.
Someone should go into business making compact pickup trucks.
You guys need to make a spindle and shackle/block lift kit for 2WD Rangers, 1998 and up. I would definitely buy one!
2 wd laugh my ass off!👈💯🥴🔥
I just had this kit installed on my 2005 Ranger FX4 and it lifted the front 2.5 inches. I wasn’t expecting that much lift. It’s definitely level that’s for sure. I would of been happy with 1.5 inches. Think I’m gonna have to lift the back a little bit now. I wanted a little room in the back for loads in the bed. Don’t have that now.
Did it stay at 2.5? Or did it settle
Any update?
@@fburnrostro95 I still own the truck. Just posted a new video. It’s still a beautiful truck. I recently installed a new Jasper engine and some other parts. Waiting till next year to do more.
Lol put a spacer on your shocks so now you bottom your shocks out instead of hitting your bump stops 👍🏻 very cool
so should you not do this lol????
Please make a real suspension lift like 4-6 inches for 98-09
Turns out they got one now
Anyone know if these fit the Australian varient of the ranger
Will this work on the 2008 Ranger XLT 4x4?
Can't you just crank the adjusting screw 3 turns to achieve a 1.5" lift? Chris Fix did that in one of his videos. No new keys, just used the old ones.
They make bank off their torsion bar tool. You’re a fool if you buy any tool that requires you to cut away at your rig just to use it.
I tried using two jaw puller but it slides too much and makes it dangerous so I don’t know what way to do it
Cutting the crossmember is cheesy. Gotta use a hd puller.
@@marktwain580 I ended up doing it with the two jaw puller released all the tension them it went it easier
Please put some chassis saver on that beautiful ranger, don't let it rust out like that
What brush guard is that?
Rough country what is the difference between doing this in the video and just cranking the stock keys up 2 inches besides the spacers for the shocks
Our keys are clocked different so that you do not have as stiff as a ride quality
ok rough country, I have an 05 Ranger Fx4 level II..I have apparantly added too much weight to the front end with Line X on the hood and roof and Bull bar. I am thinking that these may be my answer to my lost traction at the rear wheels. What do ya think?
You have too much weight forward. Add equal weight to the rear. SANDBAGS will work.
Make a real suspension lift, make it cheaper than superlift for as much or slightly more lift... you'll have a winner
AzPaintballerz I agree 100%
Austin Riley I talked to the owner of the truck in the video and he hinted at the fact that they might be making a suspension lift to compete with the super lift, so I believe that, idk. Will they tell you or I? No. But I hope they do :)
If they made one i would buy it right off the bat
Just subscribe to the channel. I just bought a 2004 Ford Ranger XLT and definitely want to lift it a little bit and put larger tires.
everyone is asking about ride height and look, but i don't see many asking about ride quality. how is the ride quality affected by using this kit?
This kit is designed to maintain stock ride quality and maintain geometry at optimal angles
Please make a 3-4” and a 6” suspension lift for the 98-11 rangers. I would purchase it in a heartbeat!
Way more work involved for lift kit that tall.
Can I use a gm torsion bar unloading tool or do I have to use the one you guys sell on your website
The one on our site is the recommended tool to use on this make and model
Does anyone know what brand the fender flares are and/or where I can buy them? (For a 2001 Ranger XLT). These ones are super sleek!!!
EGR would offer these flares.
What wheels are those?
Since this is a max of 1.5in, will this have negative effects on the upper control arms hitting the frame?
Correct that will not have any issue with upper control arm angles on this kit. Geometry is kept at optimal angles.
@@RoughCountryTV thank you!
Would this fit a 98 Mazda B3000? Pretty much the same truck from what I understand.
Yes if you have the torsion bar suspension.
I am trying to put a leveling kit on my 02 Ford ranger edge would this work on my truck?
if u have torsion bars then yeah
please can y'all make a Real suspension lift kit. 3 or 4 inchs, and cheaper than superlift!! id but it!!
Does this affect the Stabilitrak or ABS on the latter 4x4 models?
Yes it does
yall need to update your site the 2002 mazda b4000 dual sport has the same torsion bar suspension as shown in your video ...
Its the same truck
What is the benefit to these vs cranking your stock torsion arm bolts to achieve the same lift?
Cranking stock torsion keys is much stiffer ride quality than the keys that are clocked for lifting.
@@RoughCountryTV prove it
@@RoughCountryTV They both serve the same function by over-twisting the torsion bar. Whether you use keys or a torsion crank, it will be just as stiff of a ride whichever method you choose Torsion keys only allow for additional adjustments if your torsion bars are old and clapped out.
I have 33's on my FX4 ranger no problem.
33 x 12.5 x15?
No 33x10.5x15
hi I have f250 and I want dubl the shock absorber becuse I need havy duty truk
cuold you help me or you have kit for it
I am watting
Depending on what size lift is on the truck this is what we offer.

www.roughcountry.com/dual-front-shock-kit-1405.html
thanks for helping me
I will be the best promoter of your products in the Middle East
If I put this in, do I need to make changes to my axels/suspension or anything? That’s what the mechanic is telling me.
I already bought the leveling kit and torsion bar tool
@@maxhough6625 any word?
Can you do this AND a torsion bar crank?
This kit is the front level keys. This is all you would need to do.
will this work on a mazda b4000 1999?
Yes
how does it effect ride quality?
Of course any torsion bar suspension is going to be a little stiff. However our keys are designed to retain stock ride quality.
Rough Country do you have anything for a 98dodge Dakota ?
sorry this might sound stupid but how do iknow if ive got a 2wd or a 4wd?
You will have a 4WD selector somewhere inside the cab, it will have a transfer case and front drive shaft as well.
Yes that is stupid. You mean you don't know?
Some 2wd ranger have the same front suspention 4wd
Any lifts for 91 Ford Ranger
www.roughcountry.com/suspension-lift-kits.html?find=1991-ford-ranger-4wd-385303
i have a 200lbs winch and bumper on the front, and the ride is pretty soft and barely sagging. do you think this will put it back to about stock ride with a little lift?
Yes adding the lift to this vehicle with what you have should get you close to stock ride.
My 07 ranger sport 2wd have the same suspension like 4wds
No they are different suspensions. We do not offer an option for the 2WD model.
If you have torsion keys like a 4wd they will work but I recommend lift spindles for the 2wds
do you have any level kit for a 2wd ranger edge?
We do not offer anything for that make and model in a 2WD. I would recommend checking with Calmini.
@rough country......you are wrong this kit will fit a 2wd ranger edge....the “EDGE” line of rangers all have the same adjustable suspension for both 2wd and 4x4........I know because I bought your torsion keys and bolted them right on my 2wd 2004 ford ranger edge with no modification to my truck or the torsion keys.
Just put spreaders, 2 each for each spring.
What's the front bumper they have?
We don't have the specs or info on the front bumper. This was a customer vehicle. I assume and it looks like a stock bumper though.
It's just a cheap one from ebay. Type in "Ford Ranger Brush Guard" and it should come up.
Unfortunately there was a mistake
2008 F350
Unfortunately we only make dual shock kis for 99-07 models.
or you could save your money and crank your stock keys. I got 2 inches out of my stock keys
lac365 has it done any damage yet I want to do mine but not sure if it’ll mess anything up
Camber is not adjustable, your tires and drive is affected.
I second and third the statements below someone needs to make a real suspension !!!
will this fit a 2000 explorer?
No it does not. We don't offer anything for the 2000 Ford Explorer.
It should since they use the same Torsion bar suspension as a Mazda B Series, Ford Ranger, and Sport Trac
What rims were on that truck?
Those look to be just some steel wheels but I'm not sure what type those are. I have looked with no luck. That was a customers truck and we don't have that info.
those are stock FX4 Level II rims made by Alcoa. I got the same ones.
Guess what I didn't have to do the level kit and I'm running 32 tires. No rubbing and no trimming done to the truck
how
Same!
How
you just have to put them on, i have 33's but they're ~10.5" wide
32/11.5r15?
Does this mean the 2002 ranger 4wd has 1.5" lift blocks in the rear or are they 2"?
No it just has the front torsion keys in this kit. You retain the stock rear blocks.
How durable are you plastic rear blocks on the leveling lift kits on the 97-03 f150s
The rear blocks we offer are made from a very durable polymer composite material and are tested and proven to last. Those are also covered by our lifetime warranty.
I'm trying to find a 6 inch lift kit for my 2000 ford ranger xlt 4wd do yall know where I can find one
The only kit we offer for that make and model is the leveling keys. We do not offer a 6" kit for that make and model vehicle.
A kit is ONLY the beginning, much work is needed to be successful.
ayy
Will it fit the 2wd?
This kit is only compatible with the 4WD. The 2WD has coil spring front suspension and the 4WD has the torsion bar suspension so these would not be compatible.
Rough Country if it's a 01 and up edge 2wd it will fit
I have 2wd with torsion bar 2003 sport trac will this fit?
I have a 2wd ranger and dont have spring coil
I have the same suspension
Will this work on a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge RWD?
No it will not. We do not offer anything for that make and model.
@@RoughCountryTV yesit does only edge models have adjustable keys unlike a xlt
Rough Country if it don’t fit a 2004 Ford ranger EDGE RWD....Then I want my money back for the set that I am running on mine. FYI Edge edition ford rangers has the exact same suspension on both the RWD AND 4X4 models......unlike the standard , xlt and splash versions of the Ford Ranger that have coil suspension on the 2wd trucks.
Wash all the muck and mud off the chassis before you try and sell your wares. Thanks
what are you some kind of sissy?
Your truck must be a road princess
🍀☘️⭐🌟👍
Just buy a 3/4 ton truck and you can run 36" tires with no lift...and carry/tow whatever you need to...
Does this leveling kit have a negative effect on the ball joints?
Not once installed and aligned to the proper specs
