Kevin Skinner is a former chicken catcher from Mayfield, KY. He won the fourth season of the TV show America's Got Talent. He impressed the audience and judges with his rendition of Garth Brooks' song "If Tomorrow Never Comes." - Hudba
If only the world were like this guy. Finding so much joy and meaning in life by just sitting out on a porch. Not worrying about all these material things and our petty problems that we think are huge obstacles. He probably loves his life more that a billionaire with a mansion, cars, and all sorts of women, and that's exactly how it should be.
That's a real country voice and song right there. Not the pop country you hear on the radio.
Its not about the voice, it's about the heart and he showed that!
Kevin skinner is awesome. He goes out on stage and everyone laughs at him, then he blows them away with that perormance and ends up winning the show. He deserved to win and his debut single is awesome. Country music needs a new artist like him.
I'm cuban and of course I love salsa, merengue, etc. But WOW I have to say that country music ufffff !!! Kevin you not only brought tears to eyes but also show me that country music can really rock your world!!! Love it!!!! Good Luck!!!

I NEVER get tired of watching this video. They were all laughing at him. But after he started to sing, you couldn't hear a pin drop...his awesome voice blew them away!

This shows that you cannot measure someone the way he/she dress or look unless you go closer to the person feel within you. He sings great and his genuine attitude shows in his face.

It's been nearly four years now and Kevin is still a standout. He won the entire season with his intro and this short song. What followed in later weeks didn't even matter. I wish the producers had allowed him to play his finger style of guitar like he did the first week.
Kevin had already won the show with his first song! He was incredible here. Just love this man!

Wow the crowd is just totally stunned. That is such an awesome performance. Just goes to show that you should never judge a book by it's cover.
Facing everyone who laugh at him, alone, in the center stage. Silenced the skeptics by winning their hearts with a genuine, big HEARTS. A humble, sincere, and a brave guy who make my eyes watery from the first moment he has been ridiculed.
He hypnotized people with the magic spell from his mouth. A humble soul that truly can speak thru song that stab directly to people heart. What a great singer....
I probably have seen this at least 50 times now (since this first came out) and I still cry every time I see this. It's just the combination of how down-to-earth he is, the lyrics of the song, the guitar!
I love how he shuts everyone up when he starts singing. They're all laughing at him when they hear his accent. But they sure took him serious when he started singing. Excellent job.

I love auditions like these because it shows us to not judge a person by their appearance and education level. It's people like this who are so humble and they don't realize how good they are. It also shows us to not judge a person, we all can be cynical at times and be totally surprised once we realize they are actually good at singing, talent etc.
OMG...I almost cry when he started to sing... s'how there's something so genuine, emotional n touchy w/ his performance and voice. Very humble...Kevin Skinner is a STAR****.
You can tell how good he is, the audience is completely silent, listening to every single word he's saying. That can't be taught
Truely Amazing - I don't even like country music but I loved Kevin's performance and what a beautiful amazing song as well. This is the difference when one sings from the heart and to please, not just for money. Thanxs Kevin. I wish you all the best in your life. Peace brother.
i was just watching TV in HongKong last night, his performance brought my tears in my eyes ! He chose the right song which gave ppl so heart-touching.

He's wonderful. When I first heard him sing, he touched my heart. I got upset when people first saw him and ridiculed him but look at him now... WOW.
Im a preson who mostly listen to Psychadelic Trance, Vocal Trance etc. Nothing else then electronic music ..

My gf asked me if we could never go to bed mad at each other. I said of course and why. She said because if one of us didn't wake up then our last memories would be of angry and pain. So if tomorrow never comes i hope she knows how much i love her
This guy reminds me of a young Johnny Cash, he might not be the greatest singer but who cares. He POORS his HEART out and everyone feels it..... that's music :-) I wish him the best :-)
I don't know what made you saying that, but a performance, personality he has shown on the stage is one of the best I have seen by far.
This guy looked so funny when he came on and started talking. But your jaw dropped and were left stunned when he started singing. Phenomenal!

What really is amazing is that the audience didn't start cheering or doing that stupid hand wave as he sang. They sat there speechless.

i knew he was gonna win as soon as he started singing and everybody was dead silent and just listening entintley. You could tell the emotion he had just by listening to him. AWESOME! A better guy could not have won
my dad has cancer it started in the prostate it spread to the colon and now it has spred to his lung. I had no choice but to put him in a nursing home and it is killing me. he is not in pain thank God because he on real heavy medication he is alert and aware that tomorrow may never come and he always tells me that as I leave his room.
Everytime I hear his voice I get chills and tears in my eyes... he is amazing...

im pisanu and im from Thailand, i never get bored watching this blog, i like the way you overcome it man, from the begining you enter and till the end, kevin still is kevin nothing change, i like that, i too felt moody, everyone laughin and kind of looking down on kevin, EVEN THE JUDGE were laughing but you prove to everyone that, you can and you are AGT winner and yes you deserve it man...you rock!!!

Kevin's final performance wasn't the best, however in my opinion, he had the most talent of all the contestants. His audition was fabulous. I don't even like country music but he captured me from the get go. Being a Kentucky native myself, watching him win made me proud. It just goes to show that you can't judge anyone based on their looks, their accent, or where they come from. There is brilliance throughout this great country! GREAT JOB KEV!

Never underestimate a country boy with a guitar. I like many of the girls in the video, thouht this guy was pretty funny in the beginning. Of course none of us were laughing in the end. Someone like this really makes you reevaluate your priorities in regards to guys.

He´s SOOOOO proud and truth of what he is!!! so honest, so human! got damn I missed that in like 80 % of the people I meet on the streets or out in the society. he play hes music so with passion and ALL in the audience got that SILLY "instant moment" ,felt comfortable because all around them thought and judged Kevin the same even before he´s audution.

When he sings he gives an expression in both his face, and in his voice where you can actually believe what he's singing. He's not just singing a song, He is telling a story. with pure heart and emotion. It's the singers like this that this world needs now-a-days. If we had more inspirational people like kevin skinner i think we'd be living in a better place

I love how everyone on camera is caught with their prejudice. And it's even better that he beat the prejudice not by changing who he is, but by changing the way everyone perceived him.
it's funny that most sad things don't do shit to me....but after hearing this guy sang that song back when this episode first aired....i was in fucking tears...no bullshit......my girlfriend and my dad was making fun of me for crying...but i didn't give a shit...it was so beautiful and emotional....i can tell he sang that song with pure honesty and emotions. he really connected with the song

The world needs to slow down.We are so exposed to so much that its damaging us and we dont know it.The reason that Kevin is such a genuine person is because he decided to live simple and stay away from all the corruption.Our kids are so exposed to so much and they want to grow up so fast.Im terrfied for my kids so when i hear this song i think of them.In my oppinion,The world would be a better place if we go back to the old days,and old ways.we should all strive to be more like Kevin Skinner.
