  • Thailand's Supreme Court has cleared self-exiled former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra and five other officials of negligence. They were acquitted of a decade-old case involving a roadshow to promote Thailand. They had been accused of not carrying out a proper bidding process for the $6.7-million project. This was the last pending case against Yingluck and it has fuelled speculations about her potential return to the country after years of self-exile. Saksith Saiyasombut reports.

When a person so popularly elected ..it is right that the people should have the service of their leader to meet their needs .
Cases against a leader must come from affected persons with proofs for court to decide not by opponents in power ,also not elected by the peole.
So it is good to see her back and the unity of a nation is restored for the good of a nation in a troubled world

🙏 With great respect to All Sides , if Thais just practice more Give & Take & let the Shinawatra family govern Thailand back then , Thailand might already made a lot more economic & technological progresses by now & avoided the many resources & golden opportunities slipped away under the unnecessary military rules! Thailand can be even better in all sectors if only Thais are united together to achieve the common good for Thailand! 🙏 🌷🌿🌏✌💜🕊🇹🇭

Hahaha…. It’s all a conspiracy. Allow the Thaksin family back to Thailand with no punishment in exchange for their family not to touch politics forever

politics ... they can. The current government lead by Shinawatra's party. Srettha is Thaksin's puppet . The real deal is they must not touch the monarchy or else the next military coup will happen.

Thailand 🇹🇭 is democratic, rule of law country. Independent court is where all disputes are resolved.
    - In China🇨🇳 the CCP is the law, the police, the prosecutor and the judge.

Thailand democratic ? When did this happen ! ?? Democracy….. ahhh. Don’t you just LOVE IT ! ? A land where government DOES what the people actually NEED & WANT ! You NEVER had that mate. Never will. You have the wrong political system. Maybe it was a good idea 300 years ago, but not for today nor tomorrow. It generally attracts the wrong sort of people for a start!. Essentially “salesmen” who try to persuade and bribe you that their ideas are great! All parties do the same. The notion that the PEOPLE HAVE CLEAR NEEDS is not even considered - UNLESS it’s seen as a vote winner. Also the notion that “competition” yields the best results - rather than cooperation - is also well past its use-by date. You need a “National Register” of the nations NEEDS. Yes, the Nation, not some privileged fat elites. When you Got the National Register THEN the whole of parliament can create polices to IMPLEMENT the nation’s needs - here, we call it RD Real Democracy. All hands to the pump. Effective efficient cooperation. No more backstabbing. No more childish destructive schoolyard competition. JUST PROGRESS LIKE YOU NEVER SEEN BEFORE . Checkout Chinas Progress which has overtaken USA in everthing. Certainly a BETTER WAY for the Nation. (Unless of course you are already part of the 1% thriving and thieving elite , then yes, you will experience a relative decline in your unwarranted privilege and decadence).

@@kevinlee3465You need an education. Thailand has become a Western-style constitutional democratic monarchy since 1932, although most of the time the country has been ruled by military governments.
