Dear Jordan, Relient K is releasing a new album, but not until July 22! WHAT DO I DO?
Oh my indeed.
I'm into totally different music now but you guys will always hold the best place in my teenage heart. The fact you guys are still together blows my mind. The amount of meaning you pour into your song is inspiring, weather it be religious or just generally how life isn't always easy. All I want to say is you guys taught me alot, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Hope to catch a show one day.

+TGYTS hey we are still together. And technically we have three original members if you count the fact that Dave played on this. Also, our buddy Tom who has been touring for the past 3 years with us. Brian quit in 2003 so really the turnover isn't quite as bad as it seems. People grow up, life gets complex, etc. we feel grateful to still be cranking out songs.
Relient K I'll be honest with you, I'm kinda just shocked that you replied to me. Sorry if I sounded like a douche. I just have a special place in my heart for your earlier stuff, when the band 'felt' more whole.
Also, my sister wants to know if you'll play at her wedding. :P Seriously, though.

I love how every Relient K album tells a story/captures them at a moment. Always a joy to follow along, hear how their sounds and perspectives change. Been a fan since I was 8. Love you guys. I bought a copy of the CD for 3 of my friends too! Its incredible.

So it turns out two of my all time favourite bands are both releasing new albums in July 2016. I think I need to start a petition to get Relient K and Switchfoot to come tour South Africa. Would that be absolutely fantastic?!

You have to understand _Collapsible Lung_ was part 2 to a long four-year story that started with _Forget and Not Slow Down_. The album was intentionally shallow (except for the first and last song). It was all about the dark side of love.
intentionally shallow? doubtful. that's not how matt writes. collapsible lung was a lazy pop record fueled by terrible co-write tracks and not to mention losing ethan luck on the kit. relient k could have done so much better.
This song is so much fun. It's great to hear your alternative rock sound guided by a fun-feeling I haven't noticed since Two Lefts thrown in with reflective lyrics. Now I'm even more excited for the new record.

I've always really liked Theissen's voice, so I could do without so much distortion. BUT, especially after the collapsed lung that was Collapsible Lung, I am very happy to hear Relient K sounding like Relient K again. Solid jam.
