    This video convinced me to get a Monument pedal. Thanks for the thorough review and demo. I also really liked the pre and post jams on the video.

    I think you're the only guy on youtube that actually used an expression pedal with this thing, I appreciate that. Just sold my Hummingbird to get a V4 but... maybe I'll give Walrus another shot.

    Wow. That looks and sounds really awesome. All those features and the expression pedal functions are a real game changer.
    Walrus always has really solid stuff. And $199 ain't bad. I'll take two, please.

    Thanks, most useful demo of this pedal i've seen. All features covered :) useful to decide whether I want to go with this as well as the nightwire that I wanted for the attack function on both greq and speed. Would have been nice to hear harmonic on minimum speed as did with the standasrd trem, maybe you did n i blinked n missed - listening again now in case :) Great demo, thanks again, I will subscribe this time :) Enjoyed your playing on intro too and general style choices, tarantino soundtrack kinda territory with a hint of marr on standard :) Not seen the harley benton with those pickups, I recently got some duesenberg pickups - gretch styles toaster as they call it for a self vuild tele to come :D so nice to hear too! Thanks again, real enjoyed :)

    Trem hunting now;
    Found the opening statement pertinent; I've tried a bunch of Trems that I just couldn't bond with,- thought the Supro sounded good, but-
    Excited by the idea of running a verb before AND after , so as to enable different picking tempo options; the tails allow nice ,fat ,empty spaces.
    Was considering the very simple Mr Black Mini, the only thing worrying being the lack of volume level.Seems to sound outstanding, especially the harmonic, but the Monument is up on deck.Never would have even tried the big box version.Great demo.

    Good morning, is Tap and Rate control the same? Can the tempo be adjusted with the Rate button? Or it is necessary to set the tempo with the Tap button and then adjust the desired speed

    Stuck between this and the JHS Kodiak. Might end up with both but anyone have any advice or thoughts on which one to try first?
    Typically play higher gain stuff and looking to add a little spice to my leads.

  • @steveslikewow
    @steveslikewow Před 5 lety

    Is the momentary speed ramp up on the bypass switch new for V2 or was that there before? Either way the smaller enclosure alone makes me give the Monument a hard look to knock the Flint off my board. I also like that you can change wave forms within each tremolo type which you can not do with the Flint. Imagine a reverb/trem-in-one pedal where the trem side had as many options as this pedal, you can switch the order of the trem/reverb, and have a momentary switch that can either speed ramp the trem or sustain the reverb or both.

    • @TheFrostyDealer
      @TheFrostyDealer Před 5 lety +1

      I'm selling my Flint to put this on my board. Put a holy Grail and true spring before it, a fathom after. Pretty sure that's going to be tops for me

    • @DrCrane1000
      @DrCrane1000 Před 5 lety

      TheFrostyDealer omg, that’s what I’ll do, if I’ll get the Monument! (Except that I use an EQD Ghost Echo right now, for springy toned reverb.)

  • @sassycat
    @sassycat Před 5 lety +2

    Harmonic tremolo - isn't that the kind that the Fender Chris Stapleton Princeton reissue amplifier has? Also, have you tried out the Tremotron by Stone Deaf yet? The Monument is a strong contender to replace my old BOSS PN-2.

    • @60CycleHumcast
      @60CycleHumcast  Před 5 lety +2

      I think the tremolo on the Stapleton Princeton is tube-biased, but I'm not seeing anything about it being harmonic. - steve

    Hi there!!! I’ve heard this pedal can be quite noisy, with a lot of hiss. Is that the case in your experience? I’ve had to get rid of the TR-2 and the Pipeline for this reason. It ruins a tremolo effect for me.

    • @60CycleHumcast
      @60CycleHumcast  Před 4 lety

      i haven't experienced that. i had the pipeline too and don't remember it having a hiss. what are you using to power your pedals?

    • @michaelblair1867
      @michaelblair1867 Před 4 lety

      60 Cycle Hum a 1spot pro, so it’s isolated. It wasn’t so bad with the pipeline, but it was really bad with the TR-2, experiences it with two separate examples of that.
      That all being well, how does the standard tremolo fair against the likes of the Supa trem 1 or the voodoo lab tremolo?
