hi dwyrin. just re-discover your channel a few days ago while filing my google favs. I watched like 20 videos in a row, I'm hungry for back to basics and you was delighted by your december proverbs series. you're doing a great job. thanks for all of the heart and brains you put in this
Hi, Nice lesson. I have a beginner's question: At 25:00 why Blacks do not attack whites on the upper right corner, with a L6 move ??? Or a M7 move ??? I realise this video is old, so I don't expect any response. ☺️ Thanks
oh neat, Michael Redmond reviewed this game too! edit: oh wait, no it was just another dosaku v chitetsu game that opened with the exact same 3 moves LUL
How do we get these games from so long ago handed down to us? Did they just record the coordinates of all the moves? I’d like to imagine that generations of go players memorized these great games and handed them down by memory until more modern times.
I guess they were recorded on a kifu while the game was played. A kifu is essentially a piece of paper with the grid of a go board on it. You write the move number on the relevant intersection and like this you have a complete game on a piece of paper.

Can't wait for Chow-Chow Chikun
Just wanted to mention, the ladder on G12 also works at the end of the game. That can't be a coincidence, Dogesaku's shape is impressive
Thanks for all the effort and time you put into these videos. Great content!
CZcams seal of quality: when you like first and watch second.

Nice, finally a Dosaku review!
You should review Honinbo Jowa...
playing go without knowing Dosaku is like playing chess without knowing Capablanca...
