  • Just another unboxing video of a Techwood meat slicer that I picked up to slice homemade bacon. I show what comes in the box, cleaning, using the slicer to cut bacon and the results.

    So happy to have found you. Excellent description of how to assemble, use, and clean. I don't need to go to any other video because you covered all the bases. Again, thank you

    Thanks for your review.
    Mine came in today from Amazon and it sliced up a 19 pound Italian Imported Ham from Restaurant Depot in less than a half hour. Worked like a charm.

      I have been looking at this slicer for weeks plus others…. Wondering which to buy.
      I have learned that 200w is best! Thanks!

      Hand is well away from the blade. There is a push piece when the meat is small enough

    Do you find it to be strong enough to slice hot meats like brisket or thin roast beef off the smoker?

    • @dakotamar45acp
      @dakotamar45acp  Před 3 lety

      I would think it would cut those with ease. It was cutting my bacon that was part frozen, although having a hard time of it. I allowed it to rest every little bit. but thawed meat like that should not be a problem.

    I bought this slicer for my grandson a few weeks ago. He is having problems with the meat sticking to the blade. He's tried cooking oil and Pam cooking spray. Nothing is working. Any suggestions?

    • @dakotamar45acp
      @dakotamar45acp  Před 2 lety

      what is he cutting? i have put meats in the freezer to stiffen them up for cutting. I did bacon this way but i have also done it thawed with no problems. yes, i may get the odd piece going around but it is usually on the right side of the blade when it is getting too thin to hold on to.

      @dakotamar45acp  Před 2 lety +1

      It has only been used about 6 times. Bacon is a good workout for it and this is what I normally use it for. I do give it a rest while cutting bacon as I usually do 2ft of pork belly when I smoke. Working good so far.

      @@dakotamar45acp I think it was the inner plastic gear. Now the blade is wobbly and the machine makes thumping noises. Be careful to not hit bones or big seeds or you will be in the same boat. And when it does break, dont expect for any customer services either.

    • @Airoden
      @Airoden Před 2 lety

      yeah sorry I think you're in the wrong here then. mango seeds are very hard. actually kind of woody. Imagine trying to cut a 2X4 with a Mitre saw with a blade that had no teeth. it would burn out and potentially destroy the Mitre saw. which has a lot more power then a meat slicer.
      I mean don't feel too bad about it
      I once complacently forgot to switch a wood blade to masonry one on a saw and tried to cut a stone. when I destroyed the machine in a fraction of a second I certainly didn't try to blame the machine. I was thankful I didn't get hurt. accepted I had become complacent and did a dumb thing and moved on.
      well all make mistakes.
