Alton Towers During The Week | How Good Is It Really?

- I always wondered what Alton Towers was like during the week, outside of school holidays. So i decided to head to the park on a Monday to see if it is really worth going? Checking out the queue times, visitor numbers and ride availability compared to a busy weekend day at Alton Towers.
Will i manage to get on The Wickerman, The Smiler, Oblivion? Or will the reduced hours see me not achieve much in this huge theme park.

1. Wicker man, 2. Nemesis 3. Smiler 4. Thirteen not bothered about Rita or Galactica. Thirteen might beat Smiler for me I can't decide its great at the back its just a bit short.

The smiler has its seasons. I rode it 4 times last season, and it was very good. Perfectly smooth. Sean Evans and a few others have said it's riding like a bucket of spanners. Nemesis is my favourite ride with smiler as a close second

On your concerns of darkness and feeling sick, you could be right. I wouldn't be concerned about Guardian's however, it's not even that dark in certain scenes and the spin is controlled. I would be very surprised if you felt ill from that, the backwards launch is nice too.

The best time of all, is the middle of the week inbetween Scarefest and Fireworks. One, its the week, so no one wants to go. Two, people are already going/gone to events so there is no point them going again.

Mondays and Fridays are always a bit busier than you expect. In part because people extend their weekends and take their kids out of school 😂
Haha yeah may have been that kid once or twice back in the day! 😂

Not too many no, I use single rider where I can do the ride ops can fill the trains 😀
May I ask what day you went, as in the date? We're in middle of school hols at the moment. We went last week (Mon) and was heaving. I'm guessing you went the Monday before that (27th)?
Yes sorry I realised the bad timing of this video release shortly after. It was Monday after opening weekend, but hoping it may encourage people to head to the park next Monday. 👍
Do you know if Spinball is open? On the app it says it will be open April 2023 but we are almost halfway through April and it still says that.
Nothing yet, hopefully they will start testing soon!

I haven't rode Wickerman at night but I got on TH13TEEN in the pitch black. It made it so much funnier
