Yes, but Varane is out of contract, and Maguire isn't. I think Mark and a lot of United fans have missed Sir Jim's point. The spending on wages is ridiculous. Casemiro is surely the last of this madness. It all started with RVP, and just because he worked, then we continued this mad transfer strategy to bring in superstars and expect to compete.

Why would Ineos keep Evans.? It doesn't make sense. Players going should be Martial, Varane, Casemiro, Sancho, Greenwood, Evans, Lindelof, Amrabat, Eriksen. And either Rashford or Fernandes.

I can understand the reasoning behind the verane deciaion but only based on us replacing him with at minimum a todibo or similar. If we dont replace him with a quality young prospect then its a terrible decision

Several players will go this summer but we'll still be left with many players next season who are paid far too much, ain't anywhere near good enough or injury prone. I estimate it will take 4 or 5 years to rid ourselves of all the unwanted players unless Ineos can offer some players a financial compromise to go.

Brailsford worries me. He was great in his time for cycling, but that was years ago and things have moved on dramatically. Just look at where Ineos are now in cycling
