Episode Overview
-----------------------------
For the last year and a half, Shopify developers have been using the Shopify CLI as a tool to serve theme code locally.
In my August 2021 tutorial on the Shopify CLI, I covered the benefits of the new themes feature and walked you through a step by step on how to use it.
But then, about a year later, Shopify introduced the next version of the CLI and a few months after that, announced that support for themes were now also added to this new version.
The latest update came on November 9th 2022 when Shopify announced the 2.0 version of the CLI will sunset on May 31st 2023.
So, in this video I’ll cover what’s changed in version 3 of the CLI and how to migrate over to the new platform.

Excellent video Chris (once again). Thanks!
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video. I can't figure out how to install Shopify CLI to Macbook M1, any help?
If you describe the issue/error, someone might be able to help...
Hi guys, I wondered if someone could help me? I think i'm making a really obvious mistake but wondered if someone could point it out to me.
I've updated to the newest CLI and then typed in to the terminal shopify theme dev --store="my link" (CZcams wont let me post it), and login to the store, but instead of the CLI then serving my theme code I get a message saying "It doesn’t seem like you’re running this command in a theme directory. Are you sure you want to proceed?" I didn't have this when using the older version, any ideas?
Can you confirm that the theme you're running it inside is valid? The error message could be correct.
Can you make a tutorial on Shopify CLI use and commands.
He says in the video that he already made a video on how to use it?
Then in this video he explains what's changed?
