I love Rick but gotta say. After his answer to the first question tells me I I don't need to listen to the rest. He is rich. He doesn't worry about short term prices and didn't answer the question. Most of us aren't rich. Most of us an ounce of gold is a major purchase. Sure we could be called speculators but we need to know if price will drop in coming couple months. When your debating buying tires or visiting dentist then the month to month price really matters. If I can get an ounce for $400 cheaper if I wait a few well that's very important info. I love silver. Haven't bought since it went over $25. Diamond hands baby. I'll stack cash. I have been stacking metals for 10 years and patience is key if you're not rich. No fomo here
But it’s good to listen to his experience to pull out nuggets on how he got rich. Plus, he’s right on metals being long-term. If you want short term capital gains better to focus on stocks.
If we go into a recession. The price of gold and silver will get much cheaper before it 🚀 takes off. I want buy more silver at 22 and gold is too expensive but I like $1,800 to buy. I will sell more silver at $33 and on the way up. 🤑
@@baldguymoney5568 I think that's a good answer. While he spoke for 45 minutes without answering the question, he articulated a lot of wisdom gained through years of experience and perhaps prevented many of us from making common investment mistakes by helping us keep long term perspective.
If there is concern about tire and dentist expenses, then IMO there should be virtually no focus on any investment until it is backed by both emergency and opportunity funds.
And also IMO those funds should be capitalized in assets that can be collateralized in order to be in control of finance cost and inflation erosion, which bring back focus to precious metals as capital store… along with whole life insurance for contractual rights to liquidity. Investment focus shouldn’t be part of the equation until then
You went from "need to know if price drops in a couple months," to "patience is key," pretty quick.
Preferring a physical bank over a phone app does not make one dumb. I deliberately stay away from banking apps due to the potential of hacking.

Big institutions with a bunch of paper Silver and physical silver can put a short on silver and the sell silver at the same time. Then later buy the silver back and remove the short. Is that manipulation? It’s legal. It moves the market in their favor 😮
until physical silver is gone.
Mining is not going to work here fellas. I expect credit will disappear leading to mass unemployment. No credit equals cessation of operations and shut down of business. Leads to nationalization of these assets which you the investor will not be made whole. The only safety is to own the product not the producer here. Expect bankruptcies imo

Many people say that - now let's look at reality. We don't know how much is in there because that information is classified. Moreover - reliable estimates put that number at 10 to 15 ounces.
@@baldguymoney5568 why do (they) keep the data hidden? Why is there no transparency? Look at the silver used to make atomic weapons? Andy Schectman has said 500 ounces many times from someone who works in the industry currently
The data is hidden because the design is a closely guarded secret. You are free to believe Andy if you think he's right, but most evidence points to 10 to 15 ounces. And i say this as a silver bull! It doesn't need to be 500 ounces for me to be bullish - I hope that much is clear. I like to focus on what I can substantiate and prove to my audience. I would never sell you speculation.
I think I missed the answer to the question about what will happen to gold and silver in a 2008-style crash, although I'm sure Mr. Rule implies that these are very good places to be in such a situation. I think my ADD is working overtime.

so Rick said only two reasons why people buy gold fear or greed, I guess I am the third reason and that would be to protect my wealth and I don't call that fear, I call it common sense because fiat or digital currency goes to zero value because nothing is backing it. He also said when the crash comes that everything comes down, now that I am going to hold true because in March 1981 gold was 670, a year later it was 330. So I already knew this because history has a habit of repeating itself, over and over again. I invest in Silver for the same reasons that I buy gold and I feel it would be a good bartering tool if stores and people refuse to except digital for payment in the future. This man is informed and has informative views on a variety of investments, it was worth listening, looking forward to the next one in the series, good job.
I buy gold because instinctivly I value it more then anything else per gram. It's undervalued along with silver

Now other people that I would would be an asset to have on your show would be Andy Schectman, Lena Petrova, who was a bank examiner and very smart woman, Rafi Farber, and Peter Schiff, all these people I would consider at the top of their game when it comes to economy, metals, investing and future direction of banks and gov. Yesterday I person emailed me and said Bruce do you think that its possible to make synthetic gold and silver, I did a little research and found out yes its a possible but who would want the fake stuff anyway.

It is interesting that he indicates that the manipulations continue as long as the short selling of silver changes into long trading.
However the question remains how that moment of turning will happen: Gradually - which seems unlikely to me - or will it happen with a Big Bang, which could have a huge impact?
And in what timeframe would that take place? Is there a greater chance that, as so often happens, in the middle of 'our' night, or spread over several days?
It is very important to be able to anticipate that. That seems essential to me if you can shed some light on it again.
Of course without being able to give a real prediction, but if there is anyone who can say sensible things about it, it is you!

I have gold and silver. Gold is the security and silver (hopefully) will be the work horse. If you ever wonder what the average price will be in the future just plot a line through the average prices over the decades (that's why its an average). Everything around that average, short term - is just part of the journey in getting there. Also, is it possible for Australians to open an account with Battle Bank?

Anybody paying capital gains tax
on pm’s is misunderstanding the system. Don’t leave a paper trail when it may cost you.

Some people do, and I get asked about it often. I live in a place where there are no capital gains taxes. That said, I can't and won't tell people on here to break the law. Not a good strategy for a CZcamsr.
At what amount do capital gains tax kick in an d how does anyone know what each person may have paid for gold?
On the second point, I'm guessing they expect to see a receipt to substantiate your stated cost.
Capital Gains taxes from place to place. You would have to contact an expert in your geographical area for that. I've got you covered on analysis, supply / demand, prices, and planning though :)

I'm so pumped being almost breaking even after 10 year hold..
I am saying this from a place of wanting to educate. Going all in at one price point was likely your mistake (with respect). There was plenty of time of get on a schedule and buy $1400 gold after the 2011 blow off top which would have resulted in a 50% gain on those purchases. I talk about the power of DCA and scheduled pullback buying regularly and wish more people practiced it.

I don’t. I respect and admire Mr. Rule but disagree with him on that. My job in this interview was to allow another view point come across. My viewers are very intelligent and can decide what argument speaks to them most. That said, Mr. Rule and I agree on most things. Platinum is just a small topic in a greater philosophy on things.

I'm calling BS on manipulation. He's in the middle of trying to get his bank charter approved. No way he is going to say anything negative about banks. This crap is what regulators like to hear. In fact, I would not be surprised if part of the approval was based on if he downplays the manipulation.

Question for BGM: If the current gold spot price has downward manipulation baked into it, can it be argued that gold is more than a mere inflation hedge as it achieves fair market value?
Definitely!! I believe I have demonstrated that gold yields a real return over long periods of time (even in the chart I showed in the video). Of course, that return is smaller than the S&P - but it is the lowest risk return you can get.

@@baldguymoney5568 price reflected back to 1973 inflation adjusted since then ; I was 14 and pumping gas making . 90 cents a hour , gas was. 30 cents a gallon. you got 3 gallons of gas... today $12.50 a hour basically still gets 3 gallons of gas ... a pre 65 quarter and dime today still buys a gallon of gas.. nothing has changed only inflation killing our dollar .. a crime against all of us.

Excactly! In Feb 2020 I applied for a personal loan and wanted to buy silver with it, convinced a correction was at the door. I was rejected, and the event still sits on my credit record that I was declined! I would have bought 3000oz of silver, and within 6 months could have sold half to repay the loan, with the other half owned free and clear! They rejected me as they could not loan an amount for "investment" purposes!
That's an asset you banking idiots! They would have loaned the same amount if I wanted to go on an overseas holiday.... but buying an asset, resulted in the knee-jerk friendly vampire exposed to sunlight reaction! 🤯

Why is there a threat of a market crash, where the USD suddenly becomes so incredibly valuable that investors are willing to take much smaller quantities of them in exchange for their holdings? It seems to me that the opposite should occur. Suddenly, the USD should become relatively worthless compared to any commodity? We all know that the USD has been inflated beyond imaginations ability to comprehend. It is worthless, for all intents and purposes. A market crash would be like me asking you how many paper clips would you except in exchange for an oz of silver. Why would you suddenly say, "Oh, my. Paper clips! I'll take 2 in exchange for my silver!" It doesn't make sense to me?
