He wasnt that old but by that time he had multiple back surgeries. He was still a great player but past his prime.

pippen is always worrying about Shaq..he is always helping..so kobe is open for his shots..
There weren't many occasions when Kobe scored because Pippen sent help to Shaq and even in those occasions (like that 3 in the 4th quarter) it was bad defense from Pippen since Kobe was on fire and had previously made a 3 from that same spot.
Pippen needs Shaq also? He had Hakeem and Barkley and before that MJ. He is only 33 here playing like 40, Kobe was only 20 and fried him.
