  • In this video, we will discuss how you don’t need the extraordinary to be happy-you just need yourself and your ordinary life to see the magic in your ordinary life, according to the philosophy of Zen Buddhism
    Philosophy of Zen Buddhism focuses on the little things and its disregarding of external factors leads to lots of insightful lessons, but the biggest benefit is that you will realise you don’t need the extraordinary to be happy - you just need yourself, and your ordinary life.
    Here's how you can see the magic of ordinary life -
    01. Meditate
    02. Recognize Your Ignorance
    03. Get To Know Yourself
    04. Love The Ordinary
    05. Live In The Here And Now
    We hope you enjoyed watching the video and hope this video, from the philosophy of Zen Buddhism, helps you to see the magic of your ordinary life.
    ‘Zen’ is a term derived from the Japanese pronunciation of the Middle Chinese word, chán, which means ‘meditation.’ It is also a form of Buddhism that distinguishes itself with its almost exclusive focus on personhood and the present. Rather than meditations on life, death, religion, or the world, ‘Zen’ urges you to focus inwards and on the ordinary only. Like all other forms and practices of Buddhism, Zen is not an ideology or belief, but rather a way of life.
    Buddhism was created in India but gradually travelled through Asia throughout the centuries - and in every country, it spawned multiple sub-sections of Buddhism. The Zen subsection of Buddhism was created in China, leading to the Chinese School of Zen Buddhism becoming the most successful school of Buddhism in the entirety of China, Korea, Japan and Vietnam.

    Hi, I have a genuine question. Why do we think some thinks are bad? For example the concentration camps during Second World War. I don’t want to offend, but lately I had this question because I don’t think there is good or bad. Not because am going to make something bad it is just out of pure curiosity.

      @gohamorgohome Před 3 měsíci

      Suffering isn't 'wrong' per se, suffering IS a natural part of life, animal and human, it can be life. But deliberately causing suffering to others IS wrong, there's a big difference between the suffering that happens naturally and the pain we could inflict on others to cause suffering.

    • @jesus8453
      @jesus8453 Před 3 měsíci

      @@gohamorgohome But I don’t understand why it is wrong to cause suffering. I know it’s wrong but I don’t know why. That’s my only question that I don’t understand

    • @gohamorgohome
      @gohamorgohome Před 3 měsíci

      @jesus8453 I know everyone is different, but empathy plays a large part in knowing why causing suffering is wrong. Maybe improving your empathy, through communication or certain therapies could help, working on understanding others emotions in a different view. A good example of having respect for others and not wanting to cause harm is be following the golden rule; the principle of treating others as one would want to be treated by them, meaning that you should reciprocate to others how you would like them to treat you (not necessarily how they actually treat you). 🙏

      The ordinary life that zen Buddhism talks about is not a life that a proletarian is living. It is more related to ending suffering that everyone human being suffers regardless of his position in society. The words are same but have very different meanings I would suggest you to read Buddhist literature to get the hang of it.

      @@shivanshmishra752 and how does one appoint themselves the authority on what "Zen Buddhism talks about." I was under the impression that humans talk, not religions, and that many different Zen Buddhists have said and interpreted things many different ways. There are many ways up the mountain, the only one who wastes their time is he who runs around the base telling others they are on the wrong path, and so on. However, you seem to have some divine insight, so I'm all ears!
