What I like about rewinding is that it does it before anything bad happens to you. Often times it's self-explanitory, like falling into the pit. But when it comes to dark places... You know that something horrible is in that pitch black corridor, and it does kill you. But you can't see what it is, and what exactly happens when it sees you. It's a great mechanic.
yeah also when we heard monster sounds from dark pit with nothing but darkness and water monster is definitely confirmed in the game
11:59 i like how he's scared of finding a monster even though the game description says "No monsters chasing you or jumping towards at your screen, but the game can feel oppressive at times by invoking fears of getting lost, the dark, tight spaces and outwordly architecture. Liminal spaces, inspired by backrooms."

This game is actually probably my favourite backrooms game of all time because it doesn't have monsters that you can see. Instead, it uses sounds and objects like the rubber ducks/statues to make you imagine things and it makes you very paranoid and uncomfortable which is the best kinda horror in my opinion.
Psychological horror at its finest.
You might like The Complex: Found Footage (another backrooms inspired game). It does have a little bit of action, but it's environment-based rather than monster-based, and the rest of the game is all exploration and ambiance.
I love how the game uses fears we learned in order to feel even scarier. Both IGP and Ryan had the same reaction when seeing the yellow wallpaper of the original backrooms, and that's all thanks to Kane Pixels. I also love the fact that we're so used to see statues moving (like weeping angels and mannequins or such) that it's the first thing we check when encountering some. Both IGP and Ryan checked if the statues were moving in the flooded corridor by looking away 🤣. And when they do start moving, it's even scarier 😶 ...
it wasnt horrifying at all,instead I loved it because I love the pools like these and it just gave me chills
And with something as infinite and vast as the backrooms it makes more sense to have a vast almost infinite emptiness make you feel paranoid.
Now THIS is a ''walking simulator'' done right - minimal actual gameplay or mechanics to support a proper psychological horror experience. I love the unique aesthetic and chilling vibes of this iteration of the 'backrooms' subgenre, the sound design and hyperrealistic lighting really sells it.
Also, congratulations on 4 million subscribers Ryan! Its a joy to see this channel continually growing and thriving, here's to many more happy years on CZcams!

We made it to 4 mil im beyond proud to say I’ve followed Ryan for this very long journey and I’m proud to say I can’t wait going down the road to 5,000,000.
I remember when I first discovered Ryan 10 years ago while him and baz made 8BitGaming. They both went on and continued content together while also going on their own and still to this day I do miss the content together. I’m beyond happy to say this 10 year journey was well worth being here and I’m happy to say I will keep following this road and loving the content he does.

I once played a poolroom level in VR Chat and at first I had a random person with me until I found underwater areas I had to swim through, the isolation of the water and empty corridors freaked me out, that I just didn't wanna touch VR chat at the time

Honestly one of the best thumbnails. It's honestly perfect but the video is even better. I'm so glad I discovered Ryan on CZcams so many years ago because he's by far the best (imo) and the most comforting CZcamsr possible. Also have to mention how his videos have been helping me mentally with my anxiety and depression, it honestly helps so much and I'm so thankful. He had earned his nickname for being one of the best gamers in existence. His life revolved around pixels, virtual adventures, and the thrill of conquering challenging games. His room was a treasure trove of gaming memorabilia, with posters of iconic characters adorning the walls and a powerful gaming PC taking center stage on his desk. One gloomy Saturday afternoon, with rain pattering against his window, Ryan decided to dive into a new gaming experience. He had recently acquired a mysterious gaming PC from a garage sale hosted by an enigmatic old man in his neighborhood. The moment he had laid eyes on the peculiar computer, he felt an odd sensation, as if someone was watching him from afar. However, he brushed aside those eerie feelings, attributing them to his overactive imagination. Sitting down in his gaming chair, Ryan fired up the unusual PC, eagerly anticipating a thrilling new adventure. As the screen came to life, it emitted an eerie, flickering light, casting a shadowy, unsettling atmosphere in his room. A sign in the distance read "Backrooms: Level 999," and he realized with terror that he had become trapped in this eerie, endless maze. This was not a game, but a nightmare incarnate. Ryan's heart pounded as he navigated through endless hallways, each one indistinguishable from the last. The walls seemed to pulse with a sickly green light, casting eerie shadows that played tricks on his mind. As he ventured deeper into the backrooms, the sense of isolation and dread grew with every step. He couldn't help but think of the old man from the garage sale. Had he known the true nature of the PC he had sold to Ryan? Was this some kind of twisted prank, or had he stumbled upon a malevolent force beyond his comprehension? With one final, decisive strike, he struck at the heart of the entity, causing it to unravel and dissolve into a cascade of digital fragments. The backrooms around him began to glitch and distort, and the flickering light grew more intense. With one final surge of energy, Ryan was sucked out of the backrooms and back into reality. He lay on the floor of his room, panting and covered in sweat. The peculiar gaming PC sat before him, its screen dark. With a trembling hand, he powered off the computer and unplugged it. He had returned from a digital nightmare, and the old man's mysterious PC was finally silent. From that day on, 8-bit Ryan's gaming experiences took on a whole new level of intensity. He had lived to tell the tale of his harrowing adventure in the backrooms, a story he would never forget. As he continued to play, he couldn't help but wonder about the enigmatic old man and the origins of that haunted gaming PC. One thing was for sure - he had a newfound respect for the power of pixels and the games that had once been his escape, now a thrilling, high-stakes reality. And as for the old man, Ryan couldn't shake the feeling that he had encountered a force far beyond the realm of ordinary gaming - a force that had tested his skills, his courage, and his very existence* .
