Ryan is the first one, when playing this game, actually put cockroaches for the coffee ground one. Nobody else bothered to actually read the descriptions to figure it out lol
Luckily, SkillyMcFilly got it right on the roaches one when he played it 11 days before today, but he missed boggart one because he got mad that the Gary dude didn't leave out cream before it became one lol

I think they don’t like longer videos because they take away players from the game for example this game I don’t think it has any randomness with the calls so once you watch it the randomness feature isn’t a thing
@@icecream5125 nah it’s to do with the algorithm and stuff if you make a 1 or 2 hour video a good portion of viewers don’t watch all of the video (this has been proven btw CZcamsrs can see how long ppl watch)
So basically the algorithm takes into account the watch time if say 50% of the views only watched for 20 mins and not a hour then the algorithm gonna rank it poorly and his videos won’t show up on random ppls home pages as much
So it’s basically better for his channel to make shorter videos but some channels will still do hour long videos for certain things like let’s plays etc and I imagine Ryan would prefer getting this game finished in 1 video than have 5 videos of the same game if ppl don’t like the first one they won’t watch the second one

I think the ending just means that you have been working for Fae the entire time, so that's why the HSH knows of all the mythical creatures.
The document at the end said the dev just wanted a fantastical ending, since the game was inspired by a Dungeons and Dragons bestiary and mythical folklore. And Carol's actor dressed up as a fae.

Yeah, basically the company is Fae who want to help humans, but can be somewhat aloof themselves. Notice how they only give advice to either remove or placate the threats, but never kill them, even if the threats could kill the families. One of the biggest hints is the Fae Feast: the info tell the people to eat whatever it is immediately, but every fae story ever told basically saids to NOT eat food given by a fae or else they will take you away.
Actually, the entire game is about fairy myths, so if you studied fairy myths a lot, this is the game for you!
If you get too many wrongs, the game over scene involves the player turning into a mouse (confirmed at 2:06:17). It's implied that's what happened to Gubber

That one got me so good, I felt so stupid after playing it
What a fascinating game, also based on the ending it seems like the HSH was run by a group of fairytale people (most likely Fae based on their appearance in the ending) which would make sense as to why the HSH is so knowledgeable on the more mystical problems.
Also props to the voice actor for May, those cries in distress were gut wrenching & sent some serious shivers down my spine & have even made me watery eyed (even after listening to it multiple times) She needs to get a debut in Hollywood immediately.

Also I will say another thing I noticed, during the first emergency alert, two of the names of the counties of missing people matched perfectly with a few of the addresses of the houses shown, Berry County and Parkway County had houses linked to an address which shared a name, which could be the houses the people were either kidnapped from or taken to.

43:00 I could be wrong, but "Leaving out a bowl of cream" could be a miscommunication, because the solution to a Fracture Hobb infestation is to leave out "a slice of cheese of any kind each night before before going to bed" as stated at 44:04, the use of cream instead of cheese is what allowed the the Fracture Hobb to become a Boggart.
Common Hobb says to use cream im pretty sure. I took it as him thinking it's ridiculous to leave it out so didn't, tried to get rid of it somehow and it metamorphosed

1:51:01 the wife and the husband were dealing with a Bed Hag right under there noses. The signs are the constant Breathing problems they induce, and further backed up by the call back with the sleep paralysis they can inflict that ended up affecting the Husband. Though blame the network error for showing up that time.

The Junior Supervisor thing was weird but... The way I interpret this game... Fae Carol, and perhaps her associates, were trying to groom some would be employee to slowly adapt to their magical world by gently engrossing them with knowledge of those fae creatures. Like, each night the worker successfully navigated the callers' otherworldly problems, Fae Carol grew more confident of the worker's mettle and understanding of these bizarre and terrifying esoteric beings. For what purpose? I don't know.
Reminds me of Bloodborne, how in which the Hunter starts by hunting beasts and men, but as the hunter experiences more horrors of the night, he learns more about the unseen world and monsters, grows stronger, and eventually confronts superdimensional beings.
if the Fae pay well and provide decent insurance, I'd sign up. Ryan was promoted to Jr. Supervisor after only a week on the job, so advancement opportunities are easy!

Ryan Talking about how much he would enjoy and be friendly with a Hob is amazing to me because that's exactly what you are supposed to do about the old myth its based on: Brownies
Brownies live in houses and keep them clean. If you are nice and say thank you every now and again they may try harder to impress you. In fact, if you leave them treats like Ryan said he would then they will give you gifts and try to protect from/warn about other less friendly faeries.
If you are Rude, Lazy, or try to get rid of them they will transform into an aggressive Boggart which will pull painful sometimes dangerous pranks on you like: Putting sharp nails vertical on the ground so you step on them, tying your long hair into knots with objects inside (may include small animal carcasses), Secretly unscrewing a shelf from the wall while you are right beneath it potentially killing you if its contents are heavy enough.
So if you’re nice they become even better
But if your rude to them they try to kill you?
That kinda reminds me of the old Norwegian tales of the “loft gnom” that lives in attics in barns and keeps them clean, if you leave cookies or good snacks they become very friendly but if you don’t feed them or give them bad food they also try to get rid of you in almost the EXACT same way
@@isakandre A lot of European folklore stories are very similar. I just used the most common version of the creature. They have been named different things and had slight differences between them.
Like how I mentioned Brownies will physically transform into a larger monster (boggart).
Not every version involves a transformation, many versions just go from friendly to cruel.

It wasn’t a false rosebush. Callers only call back if you sent them the wrong info packet. The correct one was the false artifact as the false artifact can eat small mammals and children. They also make a buzzing noise only noticeable by children and animals. The lady would also check his closet every night where the source of the noise would supposedly be coming from. Chances are Jeremy heard it in his sleep, checked to see if there were bees, and got swallowed up by the false artifact. The noise you’re hearing is the music edited in from Ryan.

I love how this game starts with you working at what's basically a call center and by the end you find yourself in the Fae Realm, I absolutely love it and ngl I can see a group of fae doing this. Amazing game, 10/10

When you call about a hobb, I don't think they get rid of them, but just give you a list of things to do to make sure the hobbs don't go through metamorphosis and end up becoming dangerous.

Ryan one of the main issues you have it that a lot of the time you just read the dangers for most of this video and a lot of the time you just look at the description and go off of that ignoring the dangers of certain entities.

i haven’t finished the video yet but i think its super cool how this video is about dealing with fae! the things the company tries to sell you are made of iron and silver, and then the iron sword for when you’re hiking. fae don’t like modern metals and having some visible on ur body can keep them away!! and the little guys that clean ur house are based on brownies in celtic mythology who enjoy a bowl of milk as thanks for their work thus why u leave cheese or cream out for the hobbs to take care of them!!

I've had shoo one out of my late-grandma's enclosed porch one and it hissed like crazy. Thankfully, I was able to just guide him gently out the door with a broomstick. Not to mention, they're known disease carriers. Rabies is a deadly disease often associated with them. Anyone who's spent any significant time in the outdoors knows to just keep your distance from raccoons.

I've been waiting for the full game to drop, so glad it's finally here and the best horror youtuber is playing it!
This game has a lot of really cool and unique ideas that it juggles surprisingly well. What stood out the most to me is that the horrific analog-style horror of this universe is classic fairytale creatures that we already know.
Things like gnomes and nymphs that are usually very whimsical and benevolent, are twisted into these terrifying monsters lurking around the corner. It's just incredible.
