The load outs are awesome, because they are very unique and so detailed. I’d have gotten some J’s Armory also. His stuff is awesome as well. The individual weapons are nice, but not worth it to me. I wish they’d do weapons packs and make each one a lot cheaper.

Obviously, the more bang for your buck option are the Valaverse weapons packs. I have the weapons tin and all of the packs, Alpha thru Delta. You can never have enough 1/12 guns. But Grid Iron guns just look better. They are more robust and fit Classified figures really well.
I'm going to gear up my Hasbro Sgt Slaughter, Gung-Ho, and Roadblock figures with Grid Iron weapons.
Their Warrant Officer load-out for Flint is awesome. They are more expensive, but Grid Iron Studios makes some top-notch stuff.

After $200 I’m not sure the extra $5 would matter. But that a lot to spend on accessories.

I have 6 cobra island vipers and i have Grid iron gray AR rifles im super happy with them and Roadblock load out ,Breaker Loadout,Firefly Load out,The Jetpack jump and i give them all a super thumbs up..oh i have Frig set too and the SVT sniper rifles for cobra infantry soo yes im happy ...
I can see why people are happy with what they get, but the cost hurts. I do understand why they are more, but the price is hard for many people.
I feel like if Grid Iron just lowered their prices a bit, they would blow out of their stock…. However, I don’t know what goes into the assembly of these loadouts and how much of it minus the initial sculpts, are hand made. So the price may match the effort needed to make them. I just know they would sell SOOOOO many more if they were just lowered a tad. They are still incredible though. They have the potential to make a standard Joe figure literally come alive on the shelf.
Valaverse also has that 98 weapon tin if you really need a lot! I have bought a few of the gridiron sets but wait until they have a lot I want and make a bigger order so the shipping is justified.

The gridiron studios loadouts are pricey, but for specific figures they are well worth it. I got the hit n run loadout, Dusty, and Firefly. Those three loadouts specifically were well worth the money and made those characters into some of my favorites.
That Firefly one is one I want, but then I have to buy a Valaverse figure to go with it and then I’m close to $80 for a figure that Hasbro is gonna give us again soon lol
Honest review, man. It's funny how ppl say you are being nit-picky, funny if we are paying this much, and we should get the worth of it. ( looking at you hasbro/speedball) GS is pricey, BUT for me, I get certain loadouts specific to a Joe, e.g., we grew up with Roadblock carrying a 50 cal, not a tuning fork, lol. So i purchased the loadout specific to roadblock. I think Vala is a nice happy medium, in my opinion.
Thank you. Yes nitpicking is when you complain on placement of a pocket or variation of color. Pointing out a weapon is bent or arms on a figure are a different color than the neck is pointing out issues 😂

The details are amazing. Would buy only for selective figures. I'll Stick with the McFarlane Weapons pack & The Valaverse Gear pack. It's more cost effective to my army building. Great video.... What about Marauder Gun Runners?!?!?! I have more than a few of their weapons and they are affordable and plenty useful! The details are great and they may seem a little small in some cases, but, the pistols are all spot on!!!!! So, Since price is the main obstacle, I choose wisely between all the other weapons makers out there! We have some really good choices out there!!! Peace!!!! Happy New Year!!!!!
I’ve never looked into them even tho I have heard their name 100x. Perhaps that is something I need to start looking into also to review. No one has ever asked me about them unlike GS 🤷🏻♂️
Another solid review, The Gridiron stuff looks a bit chunky, Mark2Designs are prob the best in terms of scale, I just wish Mcfarlane would re-release his Military weapons pack, those were awesome, All the best for 2023 Punk

To me Gridiron is the cream of the crop! Their loadouts are unmatched but for the price point they may not be for everyone.

Thanks for the video. I was always curious about gridiron, but the price was always a factor for me and I could never pull the trigger (pun intended) to order any. They do look amazing though.
Price is a killer, and that’s what I hope when I do reviews I give you guys the info you need if you want to invest your money into something.
The allure to Grid Iron studios, is their kit loadouts. The sets they have to turn a Cobra Trooper into a Grenadier or Rocket trooper etc. Those kits are 30-40 bucks, and honestly, if not for the price, i'd have gone all in on those. As it stands, Valaverse gets my money. Best weapons for value on the market.
Definitely think that if gridiron brought their prices down to 5 per gin 20 per kit they would be more competitive. That said 3d printing is expensive and custom designs are expensive hence the cost.
I agree with you. Great design and look but unless you’re doing photography are they worth paying that cost compared to buying a valaverse weapons set, I’m not so sure.
The load outs look great, but they’re not just $45 after shipping, I still have to add in the cost of a figure to go with them.
The other thing is their prices reflect a market pre valaverse and were mostly intended to replace classified nerf guns. Now that there are more options on the market gridiron should either match competition pricing or hold out as premium Vendor

If you have to change all your guns mark2 designs, and valaverse. However if it’s for specific look gridiron.
I think you put it pretty well with that statement. No way I could afford giving all my figures GS weapons.
They are a beautiful sculpt and the aesthetics are on point. But GS do not ship to Ireland so I never picked up any. I do love the Marks2Toys weapons sets. I used a black primer spray from the Games Workshop on some of them. A can is about $8 and has more than enough for the two weapons sets and I think they look great I kept some grey though to look like the old school accessories. But agree you can't beat the Valaverse sets for value for money and choice.
How much was it for shipping with the Mark2Toys?

i love Gridiron but i wish they had a Galil,Hk91 and Fn Fal these were rifles my husband used during his service in South Africa and he customizes his valaverse and classified
I just calculated. I've spend USD 1200 om GI since Aug 2022. 😅 and I am from India, so I had to get them shipped to various friends in theUS who eventually sent them to me

I'll confess I like the Valaverse better. Just from a combination of value. plus I think the harder ABS or Styrene they use hold a much crisper level of detail than the PVC used by Hasbro and Gridiron.The Valaverse feels more like the weapons that come with Figma and SH Figuarts. Now I can't speak to real world accuracy, so your preference will vary. I also have a few things from Tomy Takara Little Armory series that I have picked up over the years. The detail is incredible. But each weapon is a styrene plastic model kit you have to put together. At $20-40 US/gun. They do have some nice items like a pedestal mounted Browning 50 cal though.
Finally, someone who knows what they're talking about regarding different types of plastic. I have no idea why this guy was trying to present softer plastic as if it were a good thing. I mean, he was complaining about the guns being warped, without realizing that them being made out of soft plastic was the entire reason why they were warped. Sure, they don't break as easily, but is that even an issue for most adult collectors? Personally, I'm plenty careful with my stuff, so I'm more than willing to sacrifice flexibility if it means overall higher quality with less warping.
When he was comparing the two, he just kept saying, "Clearly Gridiron is better." But he never specified why, and to my eye, Valaverse looked superior. Like you said, they have much better detail and paint, as well as harder plastic. Plus, it's nice to be able to do without the obnoxious branding which Gridiron feels the need to prominently display on their guns. The whole video pretty much just came off as him trying to justify a regrettable purchase to himself.
I have yet to find Classified Beach head in the wild.. I think I know where to find him here and on Friday I HOPE to get him at a local vintage toy shop here. 🤞🤞
GS has a wide variety of weapons and accessories that I would like to be able to get for my figures, but I could not spend that much on 4 or 5 weapons without considering the shipping and what they charge me to help bring it to Mexico, I have only been able to buy one M249 a while ago and I spent almost 35 dlls in total, very good accessories but the cost not so much

You really need to bundle to make sure you’re getting the best value for your buck.
Most of my joes have Vala weapons they are a good balance of value and function and three Blast effects for roughly the price of one gridiron. While there are tempting load outs I think I’ll just be patient, maybe!
I think a few people put it best, load your favorite figures with GS weapons if you like them.
Another cool thing about Grid Iron, is they have weapons of various time periods. Wild West, Soviet Era, etc. Vala focuses on modern weapons, where Hasbro focuses on Nerf guns.
Agree with the different types of weapons from GS. As far as Hasbro, they dumped the Nerf guns awhile ago so can’t really say that anymore.
@@Apunkwithtoys Ah but they wouldn't have done that had the community, and more importantly, their competitors led the way by giving the community what it wanted in the first place, and what hasbro should have been doing from the start.
@@Rancoroth419 but when they start Classified they trying to go in a different direction, and people complained so they made a corse correction. You realize you are complaining that they tried something new and when it didn’t work, they listened to fans and gave them what they wanted.
The whole nerd gun thing was double marketing, If no one complained they would have released kids Nerf guns on mass with Gi Joe/Cobra logos, Thankfully Hasbro addressed the issue pretty quickly
No disrespect but if you try leaving off the yellow overall straps off of colossus build a fig in your background pic on shelf it looks better. Not sure if you have tried it yet. 🤘🏼 thanks for gun review it helps
The Valaverse packs are a better value and good for getting a lot of guns cheap. I use Gridiron for when I’m looking for a specific weapon for a character. I also really like Gridiron character load-outs. I’ve got the load-outs for Duke, Roadblock, Scarlet and Flint.
It all depends your project that'll make it worth it.. i buy a bunch at one time so its usually worth it for me since my troops would be considered Cobra Black/Special Ops.. although Valaverse maybe cheaper, it doesn't fit my needs.. its all on the buyer's opinion of their creation
I agree completely with you. These are expensive and depending on your needs and wants really determine they’re worth.
@@Apunkwithtoys you might also like Mini Arms Depot, they're stuff is cheaper but you can get a huge supply of guns n also Pixis design for vehicles that are 3d printed..

I'm actually okay with the GI Joe weapons except beachhead. Why would they cast his weapons in green plastic is beyond me.
Most of the early weapons are awful, just my opinion. But having some more traditional weapons like what come in the Valaverse packs help set some of the figures off.
What about the Valaverse Holiday Tin, 79.99 plus shipping, for 98 weapons plus mags, plus flash effects. Comes out to less than a dollar a gun.
What about it? I believe I have covered Valaverse pretty thoroughly. I wasn’t about to spend $80 on a ton of weapons when I already have too many AF weapons that are sitting in bags.
@@Apunkwithtoys As I was writing this, got to the part of the video where you mentioned it. Best price per piece thus far. Kind of amazed Vala put this out at the same time as Delta pack, although the main draw to the Delta pack is the matching gold pistols.
I just ordered 3 guns $30.00. The guns are well made with great designs and details. Not for every figure.

I never even put Dusty's gun in his hand, the oversized and very clunky bipod ruins it for me. I gave him a Valaverse weapon. Two, actually, both in desert tan. The bendy Gridiron stuff is a non-starter for me. It also looks a bit chunky. The vent on them holes look greatthough , and I hope Valaverse can incorporate that into some of their weapons.
Actually Dusty’s weapon looks almost dead nuts to the gun that it is, bipod and all, but I get it. That really don’t look clunky and after doing the review I was looking at how you can see though the site and how you can’t on a AF weapon and it made a world of difference.
I agree With you but I don’t think companies can stop the accessories from bending unless they use harder plastic.
I've handled scores of Valaverse weapons and none has ever snapped. On the other hand, I got a Mezco weapon pack and the rifle it came with snapped the first time I tried to use it.
Well if you packaged them like Mark 2 Toys does I think they would be fine.
Valaverse weapons would never survive kids playing with them, and yes I do know these are adult collectables. But they can be brittle, I also think a lot has to do with how people take care of their shit.
I have a few of their guns and they're great stuff but their prices are crazy.
This is why it’s taken me so long to even get a couple guns to review.
Just my opinion which with that and 3$ you can get a cup of coffee at 7-11... the load out is a figure, so 25 for a load out and you got me, but not sure 1 load out I worth the same as 2 figs. These are still accessories and only enhance the figure and not sure their value should exceed said figure.

To be honest the prices are insane. I want to get a loudout but most of them are double the price of a figure but with the super gummy gi joe weapons, I might get some because their weapons look the best and are made out of hard plastic

Yeah, Gridiron weapons by themselves are over-rpiced. It makes me wonder what his pricing scheme is. I have had some warpy weapons from him. I bought several of the yellow Vectors for the BATs and two had warpy muzzles. I got a few character load outs and they photograph beautifully. However, there is a serious issue regarding the soft plastic. If you're outside in the sun photographing, the sun will render the Gridiron weapon into a marshmellow; no exaggeration. I thought I ruined my bow that I bought from them because it turned into a wet noodle as I was shooting and it was only 70F outside. Imagine shooting in 90F weather O_O. The designs are cool and top notch. I just wish Hasbro would pay attention and make some weapons packs.
That is something that is hoot to know and I will watch for when it’s warm, but I can see it.
I believe that I will be getting a few load outs to review soon so I’ll have a better feeling it those are a better bargain for the price.
As for Hasbro, they are missing out on a weapons pack of vintage weapons that would go with the earlier figures to make them more OG 🤷🏻♂️
I would rather spend the extra money on gridiron studios stuff then action force weapons packs it's understandable if the 3d printed weapons break not so much if comes out a mold. But I only own 2 gridiron studios loadouts and a extra helmet . While I only own one action force figure and the red shadows prototype pack and the Charlie pack.
Fyi I broke my rocknroll heavy machine gun from gridiron set and I've also broken one of the guns from the Charlie pack. You should have really looked on their site because they have guns that come with blast effects
I was looking for a couple weapons on sale that worked with figures for my display. I’ve spent enough money on trash ($uper 7) and got burned. Valaverse weapons are better value, but I wouldn’t say they look as good.

The GS weapons look great! But unless they release sets like Valaverse to make them more appealing to buy, I'll have to skip them. The price to ship to the UK cannot be justified for what they are and I can better spend that money on more Classified figures.
That is something I can fully understand. Even if it was a pack of 6 weapons for $30 I think would get many more non GS costumers to give them a try.

While Valaverse seems brittle they actually aren’t. Watch Articulated Ninja and he literally throws them on concrete from waste level several times with no damage when he reviewed the crimson shadow tin.
Yes I saw that video, still don’t get the point of firing your weapons at the floor. Wit that said I have said they seem to have gotten better, but I watched a grenade launcher fall to the ground and the handle snapped off. I’m not sure if you follow the channel but I have reviewed all the packs other than the tin cause I don’t need that many more weapons.

They are 3d printed they might break if you heat them up
You really can’t compare injection molded toys and 3d prints it’s not going to be the same quality. The 3d stuff from GIS is made from resin

Gridiron weapons look nice but imo they are grossly overhyped. There has been so much focus on the look and not enough on the durability and feel. 100% of their products are 3D prints. 3D prints will break easily, frequently and in a variety of ways. Many of my GIS weapons have broken and that's just from display. GIS products are not even close to being worth the price tag. Your Valaverse M4 lacks the attention to detail of your GIS version, but the stock won't snap or twist off from light resistance as it will from Gridiron.

Dude in my opinion they are the coolest looking ones out today as far as weapon and accessories go but as far as price you can get a whole fucking bunch of guns from valvers that are just as nice looking in my opinion without all the accessories of course just the guns for $89 with grid iron u can only get 4 sets or 4 character specific kits for the same price from gride iron's studios don't get me wrong about grid iron studios ,they're stuff looks really nice but way way way over priced so unless you're buying for a specific figure like firefly or something its just not worth it

IMO all of Gridiron's weapons are overpriced. Other companies (for example Valaverse) are offering equivalent weapons in this scale for a lower price. I am seriously considering buying some of their other accessories. For example I really like their Boba Blast Shield helmet in blue.
I agree, they are all over priced. But if I’m over paying I want to know that I am at least getting nice weapons of load outs.

For the overall value I think I would agree, but these 2 weapons alone probably look better than any 1 weapon AF has.
