Found this song from the comments on a Rev Says Desu video, and honestly, this just adds to the pile of motivation to create my Worlds, and share them for everyone to see. Now it brings up the question; just how much motivation do I need in order to get me to actually share it? I've got these whole worlds, fitting every description I hear from people for what they enjoy seeing in content, and even filling spots that I feel would completely change the market, but I just can't get myself to actually turn these worlds into a tangible experience for others to enjoy. I've got all the characters, all the plans, all the skills, all the resources, and all the motivation, as well as constantly getting the urge to do it, but I just. . . Can't do it. What am I missing? Support? I would say what I need is an audience to tell me to do it, and support from that audience, but I know that that only comes from work. Hard work, the very work that I need that support for. Maybe it's my refusal to cheat or self-promote. I have something driving me to do it, but it just isnt working. I have all the motivation in the world, hundreds and thousands of voices telling me indirectly that I have what they are searching for, but I just can't bring it into their reach. I feel like this might be going on for too long, but I felt the need to express this somewhere, and just get it off my chest. Hey, maybe sharing this will finally fulfill whatever I need to get the work done. But before I close off this comment, I would like to add; this is not me asking for an audience. This is not me asking you to support me. I want to earn it myself. But I just needed to get this out there, and maybe finally saying this will open the floodgates and allow me to bring my own worlds to life. If you are interested, then cool. If you _choose_ to go out of your way to go to my channel, cool. But I'd rather you just wait until I show up on your reccomended, where I can earn the audience legit. I'd rather you just, take this as motivation, I guess. But if you can draw stick figures in different poses, that right there is enough, as then all you need is a story. Then you can share that story with the world through animation. Can't animate? Bullsh*t, you can move, and if you're reading this, you probably have a way to record yourself. Even if you have only one limb, you can still do it, it just takes more time. You csn Motion Capture yourself, and apply those animations to 3D models. And if you only have one limb, then you _definitely_ have a story to tell. If you had a rough life, you can take inspiration from that. If you're a stuck-up spoiled snob that's full of themself, all it would take is to get off your high horse and you can take an idea and run with it, 'cause that lifestyle means you've got money to spare, so you can do _anything_ with ease. But even if you're poor, you have _some_ kind of technology, for you to be reading this, and that is all you need. Computer? Get OBS and some free game off the internet and do let's plays, earn a living, and from there, you can upgrade. And if you've already got worlds waiting to be released, all you need is to share those worlds, and chances are, you will succeed. Be better than me, and get out there, _share_ what you create.

That line really speaks to me; it's why I keep working on things and pushing myself, well, it's one reason, but it's a good one, and my favorite line in the song, apart from:
"Expect no less than Earth shaking when these Dead Beats rise" the delivery for this one TO THIS DAY gives me goosebumps!
This song is her way on showing us that she wants us to act, keep moving forward, succeed and believes in us.
However, though Calli message is blunt and might even be harsh to some. It's better to be told directly rather than it being sugar coated. Go and reach a goal that you've always wanted to do. Take it one step at a time, regardless of how insignificant the step may appear to be. Regardless of the amount of times you fail, get back up and try again. Don't just mention what you want to do, act upon them. Who better to tell us than the hardworking reaper herself. Live a life that you can look back and not feel any regrets, to the you of tomorrow.
The purpose of this song is to ignite a passionate blaze, so that will take action and do the things that you want to do. It's a beautiful song with creative wordplay, meaningful and heartfelt lyrics that does it's purpose.
She told them gently that they need to create and not just talk and make excuses, but they got upset instead of taking her advice, so here we are. Tough love is exactly what they need.

I take the same advice from someone once... i fume a lot , even get dissapointed since the same person who give me that advice turn out to do the oposite for some years before he go back in track. I get that ALOT of you are viewing this as "telling tough love to vtweeters" and yes, it is part of that. (and I agree, I am not a fan of vtweeters who dont do anything other then being "anime karens") BUT, IMO, the overall message is, go out and DO something. Stop being lazy, stop blaiming others for your failures of you not even trying, and do ANYTHING. (Not just Vtuber, but better career, better job, better college, etc.) And even IF you fail, that is life, it is the competition. Just because you put in effort doesn't always garentee a success, however, if you don't even PUT effort, then you won't even have a chance of succeeding.

I get why people blowing up over the important advice given to vtweeters, but the punch that gets me is the clapback to the folks who underestimate and dismiss quality just because it was made by talent who just happens to have a bit of a safety net and some advertising by association. It took blood, sweat, and tears to earn that net and those connections, and to pretend like the final product is lesser for it is pure jealousy.

I am mostly a metalhead, but I can say that this rocks.
Something I've noticed personally is that a lot of my favorites songs have an actual story going on in them. So in the case of Mori's rap, I'm not a huge rap fan but I like her songs in part because they have stories in them.

2 years ago(well more like one and a half year ago) I started streaming thanks to this song. Just recently, I was feeling down due to several "misses on my streak" and been losing steam. Coming back to this song relit the fire in me. Thank you Calli. While they are weak swings, I'll still keep on swinging.

I debuted a little under two months ago. I have been streaming almost every day, sometimes twice a day. I've been putting in work but this song still kicked me in the face. There is so much more I can do. I can swing the scythe even harder. I made a game plan today on what I need to do and what I can do to get better. I will be back to this song every time I start slacking until I'm always swinging that scythe as hard as I can.
This is the correct approach to how to take it. People who get outraged over it had no intenton of working hard. The fact that you are working hard and realised you can work even harder for something you enjoy is without a doubt admirable.

The whole song is basically how it's a battlefield in the entertainment business and you have to be ready to put your all into it, not give up after a few failures, and have the mental fortitude to remain at the top even without company backing. Make yourself stand out, have something about you that'll make us interested, and don't just hate on those on top without knowing the effort they exerted

HoloID have 20k-50k (Correct me if I'm wrong) before even debuting/makes any content. Joining a company is also a way to gain fame/subs. But, how to keep the fame/subs is depending on their entertainment skills.

theres a lot more effort that goes into popular Vtuber content than you realize. Im not sure if anyone remembers the fall of danplan in this comment section but Stephan made me realize something when it was happening: keeping up a persona for other people's entertainment demands effort and work. As you know everyone in hololive to some extent has their own personas, and they're making music too which requires immense amounts of effort and also creative passion. Calliope isn't saying you should give up because you'll never make it she's saying you need to bring some of your passion to the table as well as put in the hard work. Its a very competitive field to be making content in so you need to be willing to stick it through and work hard.

Finally. I hear a lot of people this gets them motivated while running. Personally, I just like to hear my thoughts while I run (but 4 years of Cross Country and Track will do that to you). But I did find what it is helping me with.
I am a month behind on my math class due to work. I have to do about 10 lessons a day to take the final test on the final day. Been having trouble with focusing. It took me over an hour to do one seven minute lesson because I just wasn't understanding it. I blasted this song during the practice problems and it got me on track.
