This script is a 10/10 of horribly awfully amazing. FUND IT
It's not so ridiculous an idea to make a film about how the wrestling industry transitioned from the territory days into the large national companies. I'm not overly familiar with that era of wrestling and so a good (competently written) biopic would be really cool. But it would have to be written by someone who knows the history and NOT produced by the WWE (or it would just be another McMahon ego-stroke). I hope someone does make something like that - but not like this!
I actually think if Cornette teamed up with a screenwriter they could make a good movie or even a miniseries

Although Vince Mcmahon has a life worth a movie I don't think now is the time. A movie like this needs to be made when he passes. I don't have much faith in such a movie though. It could very easily be messed up.
Time isnt ripe but someday society will be totally cool with those parties of Vince, Trump,, Kraft and Epstein being pictured.
For some reason, I always get a chuckle out of the Scrap Iron Gadaski part. It sounds like the equivalent of saying you couldn't get Virgil for 3 grand a night now.

Cornette underdog theme singing I'm dead
As horrible as that sounds it still somehow manages to sound better than what hogan and vince shat out in when they rewrote No Holds Barred at a holiday inn over the course of 36 hours.
Rewrote? You mean there was an original script?
Hogan hated the original script for No Holds Barred so he went and bitched too vince about it who in turn bitched to the writer about it, who in turn told vince to fuck off stating that he had no intention too rewrite it because he wasn't paid well enough for it in the first place.
So their solution was: get a cheap hotel room after shooting the TV's for that particular week and rewrite the entire thing themselves...which they did in 36 hours.
I have no idea of what they re-wrote but it obviously was a significant portion of the movie, not that it mattered because all they ended up with was a razzie worthy disaster that made it onto pretty much every worst movie list of 1989.
Roger Ebert actually called it:"despicable, deplorable....and dumb".
Wow, I never knew this... Now I understand why it's so Hogan-centric to begin with.
You shouuld check out OSW Reviews review of it, it's hillarious...and they review the PPV special that ended up being the blow off to the Hogan/Zeus "feud" after the movie was broadcast on PPV.

why did mcmahon feel the need to buy it to bury it? No one and i mean NO ONE was going to produce that movie. it would've been a legal nightmare for any studio/producer
WWE Netflix 3 season documentary covering everything from Vince buying out the other promoters, the Monday night wars, the Montreal Screwjob, Steroid trials, Owen Hearts death; which is just scratching the surface. And the WWE would partly want this documentary as it would inevitably trend and would make the company relevant again to a newer generation.
Dark side of the ring is a great series, but it's not on Netflix. I'd love to see a show on Vince McMahon buying out the other promoters.
