3 Ways to Blend Acrylic Paints Tutorial for beginners by JM Lisondra

In this video tutorial, you will learn the most basic part in acrylic painting which is the blending. In my demo I show the 3 ways in blending using acrylic paints, actually there are lots of blending techniques available but this 3 ways are the most common I use in painting. It includes the wet-on-wet method, wet-on-dry and the one color blending or glazing.

Se hacen distintos tonos de azul si se diluye más el azul con agua o con blanco, u otros tonos de azul. Técnica de húmedo sobre seco puede. Aclarar u oscurecer sobre un tono. O seco sobre húmedo. Etc.

hello Francine... I only used water with water spray to keep it wet and have a better blending. but you can use other mediums like acrylic retarder to keep it wet longer.

This is a very well explained video, i appreciate you tell everybody to use blending medium instead of water (water can be used but very little, about max 30% in the mixture) becouse i see too many people on web that don't explain this point so well, at the risk to someone unbinding the paint. I love to blend using wet on dry :) but it depends ofcourse on the style and on the painting itself, the feeling to communicate. Thank you so much John.
