A Liverpool fan taking any chance he gets to have a pop at united😂 must be hard for him to admit SAF is the GOAT
He’s talking facts. Crazy how everyone on the planet can see it apart from United fans 😭
@AsherAMB888Fat Paisley only had one job in his career and was given the best team and the most money in an era where nobody else even spent that much, not in the top 100 managers
United ruined his adulthood
Paisley had the trophies in the bag in 9 years done and dusted . fergie hung around for about 26 - 27 years probably because he desperately wanted to beat him .peps teams play better footie
@AsherAMB888 Dan Murphy adulthood
United fan, Pep might be the most influential person in football history tbh. There has never been a person in football who has changed the way football is played in so many different countries at all levels. Theres teams in the Conference that play with split CB and inverted fullbacks. It's crazy.

Pure facts. Pep's philosophy has changed the way football is played across the world. Fergie doesn't have that and the truth is he isn't rated that highly outside the UK. Pep is now a global icon. Utd fans will never admit it, but they can have no argument to it.
1. Alex Ferguson didnt have social media and still became a global icon... so you're wrong . and when united won the Champions league in the Nou Camp , British teams were way off the major players in Europe , so united winning then was way more of an achievement

Coaches are obsessed with peps style if you do not have the players is irrelevant. Van nistelrooy was best in Holland not the world Rio grew into the best, Veron left the Italian which were the best why?

Very convenient.

@@Hoder_sa There’s always been a standard procedure for selecting judges by CAS many years before the City case.

True, but he adapts to his opposition in a way that Cruyff has not done.
define influence - Pep & Klopp have changed how football is played in most clubs in the Premier League, it's often either play from back, or press high up ; In recent years Pep started the inverted full back craze, which has been copied by Arsenal & Liverpool. @@jimmywalker8354 Honestly Pep played beautiful football but without Messi he loses both times and you know it. People say Fergie was so lucky to have the class of 92 and maybe he was but so was Pep to be able to have those players like Inesta Xavi Ronaldinho all playing against the likes of Carrick Anderson and Scholes(the only one close to those guys I just mentioned) Fergie really was a beast of a manager winning the Epl with players you could swear ability wise Arsenal and Chelsea had better expecially in midfield he had Cleverly, Fletcher, Ji sung Park, Carrick and Anderson at a time when Chelsea and Arsenal had the likes of Fabregas, Lampard, Mikel-Obi, carvalho, Ramirez, Oscar, Arshavin, Rosicki, etc. Which team can you say have better midfielders than City rn? Which team can you say have better attackers than City rn? And the defence is Arguable those are the kinds of managers you're talking about one transforms the Average player into a specialist the other transforms world class players or close enough / Talents into specialists. Both were successful but the ability of Fergie to get these players punching above their weight class is amazing and yes fergie did have a few world class players himself.
Fergie is clear in the EPL, but Pep is definitely the more influential manager. The tiki-taka system that he popularized not only helped create one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, football team(Barca 08-12) ever but also changed the whole of Spanish football, having a direct hand in Spain winning the world cup and back to back European cups. While Fergie was a great manager, he did not have that level of influence. He was a master of the 442 system and it's variations, having established that as the leading formation of his era in the EPL. But Pep, despite walking into established sides, was revolutionary.
This is just a comment made to suit your narrative, it’s null and void. SAF was more than just a great 442 manager. Unbelievable lol 🤦♂️🤣
Fergie also played 3-5-2 and 4-3-3 when needed but yeah you tell yourself whatever makes you happy.

Let’s see pep win a European cup with Aberdeen
It made Spain play without a striker. And ruined football for me.
City success is destroying rivals to the bone . Pep is a genius
Does not matter what league you watch , you'll find a team trying to play like a Pep team. Same can't be said about Fergie. That means he is more influential.
will pep stay if man city found guilty of FFP ? if most his players left can he build a winning team again ?
But Pep learned from Cruyff.
"A Pep team"? Don't allow the media to infiltrate your mind. Playing out from the back, inverted full backs, false 9 etc etc, have been prevalent in the game for a long time now, they just didn't have names like they do now.
Go back and watch footage of how Ajax played, total football. Go back and watch footage of how Frank Rijkaard's Barcelona played. Go back and watch how even Arsenal's invincible team played and how players moved off the ball, constantly interchanging.
The Pep love in by the media needs to stop. Yes he's a great manager, but lets not try and make out the guy created good football, because he didn't.
Yes it's indeed hard to find another team that gets penalties in 90+ minute whenever they need one.

Just total false claims about MUFC's spending under SAF. In SAF's entire PL tenure we were only the biggest spenders in a given year just three times (3 times out of his 21 PL seasons) , we were something like only the 6th biggest spenders in the 90s overall and in the 2000s Chelsea without a doubt and i believe even Liverpool both outspent us. Pep been at City 8 years and already has a few times City being the biggest PL spenders in a given season and the season just before he got there City were the biggest spender for that year as well. Pep is a brilliant manager no doubt but tired of the false claims about MUFC's spends. We had individual record breaking deals (especially British transfer records) at a given time with a signing but we did not simply buy our success , far from it in fact. SAF was a genius who worked wonders with a lot of smart recruitment as well to bring in the needed talent / quality.

Pep is the best manager now, but he's inherited strong teams, Ferguson won a European Cup with Aberdeen and took over an average Man Utd team and dominated for years, Pep hasnt done that
Did he? Barca were a shambles when he took over. That's why a youth team manager with no evidence was given the job. He had the oldest team in football when he took over City. All but 1 defender was over 30 years old. If he had such a strong team why did he replace half the starting lineup the 2nd season?
Also Aberdeen didn’t win the European Cup.. they won the Cup Winners Cup, the third rate trophy in Europe at time (equivalent to Europa Conference League) in a time where all European leagues were pretty equal (CL winners from Romania & Serbia for example) so stop this weird ‘he won a European cup with Aberdeen’ without context 🤣🤣🤣 you’re comparing him to the GOAT Pep 🐐 (who smashed Fergie in two CL finals and has a 100% record against him), not David Moyes 🤣🤣🤣

The 3rd rate comp was UEFA cup, which replaced the Inter- Cities Fairs cup & it remained 3rd rate until it merged with the cwc in 99. Check UEFA's page, it's not my opinion altho I'm inclined to agree..
The CWC was full of winners & considered the second rate comp by UEFA themselves. You've only gotta look at the teams...In 1983 when aberdeen won the it there was Real Madrid, Barca, Inter, Bayern, Tottenham & PSG all contesting it. The winner played the winner of the EC in the super cup & Aberdeen won that too! The EC only had league champions so the CWC was hosting some of the best teams in europe & Aberdeen turned the football World on its head when they knocked out Bayern then beat Madrid in the final & you've gotta be pigheaded not to recognise the achievement!
Man City are a fantastic team with an amazing manager but they don't rank as a Top 10 club in European history regarding overall Silverware and global fanbase.

Must be the bitterness from Danny boy not winning any Premier League titles while SAF was in charge of United.
Pep Guardiola is a great manager, no question, but he has never been tested at a club with very little money to spend, both Fergie, Clough and several other managers have managed success at clubs like this.
Asterisk FC will never be respected in the eyes of football. The players and the Manager yes, never the club. This is the only time you can say that the players and the Manager are bigger than the club

Oh yes you can! How about; "Oli at the wheel"!?
Why is United still 10x bigger than City despite SAF being retired on no league trophies for over a decade? It's because SAF was so influencial with what he did at United, that they remain the biggest club till this day. Once Pep leaves it's all over. Do you guys think we are talking about City and they still have fans if they don't win for a decade? Not a chance. The influence SAF had on United will remain forever.
Whilst I agree with what you say, the club size thing is irrelevant. I'd rather be a small club winning things than a big club not winning things.
@@liamjohnson7887 It's about who's had the most influence. Influence is the word right. City would be forgotten about in 5 years time if Pep left and they didn't win anymore. Is United forgotten about? SAF's influence at United STILL has them as the biggest club, despite no success since.

A bit one sided this. Blackburn, like Leicester city broke the run of the big clubs when united were dominant. Pep and city have had a decent run, which has been artificially created. Man city and pep will never be held in the same regard as utd and fergie.
Raphael Benitez has had more influence on the current Premiership than any manager since Wenger
city are a remarkable team with the best prem manager ever
People are delusional to think that Sir alex is better than Guardiola.. they are just living in the nostalgia/past... that's it.. Any football fan with good ball knowledge understands that Pep is far better by miles... people will always find things to say "Oh hey won it with City best team in the world, oh he won it with Messi oh Bayren was the best team in German he won the league 3 times.."
I've always said that fergie's lack of innovation or a trademark style would hurt part of his legacy when it comes to manager comparisons.
Arsene Wenger changed diet, football culture change and introduced a style of play in EPL.
Fergie didn't use the 4-3-3 t'ill Mourinho came over in 04/05 and tactically he was embarassed quite few times in Europe by more tactical or innovative teams e.g.
Bilbao (Bielsa), Madrid (Mourinho)
Jim speaks redtop tripe, Danny speaks sense. Simon mumbles on about nonsense.......same every time I listen.
Fergouson is like penaldo 90.percent PR 😂😂😂
Oh the little football knowledge u have 🤣
TWICE in recent times? So we’re classing 19 years ago as recent times?
Relatively speaking, yes. You'll understand once you reach adulthood.
danny is talking sense..all the best teams tend to spend the most money...Liverpool won 6 european cups as the richest team in english football
Man city is a fantastic football team no question and pep is world class,
ManCheaty 115+ charges
@@jonathankennedy1715 not cheating on the pitch are they, when they play great football. It's the owners who are in question not the actual football players and pep
When Pep wins the treble with six academy players and the best two midfielders in the world suspended for the champions league final, then we can talk about who's most influential or who's the best manager.
Yes United spent a lot of money but most of Ferguson's success was on the back of the class of 92, how much did they cost compared to what City spent or cheated to win the treble and get to where they are.
Pep’s influence is more than Sir Alex because
1) he invented the Busquets role
2) He invented the possession based football
3) Upcoming managers like Alonso and Arteta are using Pep’s playbook
4) 08-09 UCL final Man Utd couldn’t do anything against Barcelona and both these were very close in terms of quality.
Sir Alex is still the greatest PL manager of all time due to his success over long period of time and he won leagues with the likes of Cleverley and Anderson in midfield. But Pep has more influence because of the different things he has invented in the game
Pep didn't invent the Busquets role or possesion based football at all. Look back in history.
08/09 they cheated to get to that final ask any Chelsea fan
Maybe from a "style of football" standpoint, Sir Alex was more influential in business management etc.
Please tell me about Alex Ferguson's influential "business management". This is a new one on me.
I'm a proud Aberdeen and Manchester United fan. Nuff said.
The usual depressing range of comments from people who slag off other teams like 12 year- olds. Have a word with yourselves. its beyond pathetic
Citeh finished 11 pts behind utd that last season and utd beat scousers home and away and had top scorer van persie who cares what uncle fester says he didnt win league or champs lge
The Saudis purchased the best staff to create the perfect formula and got Pep to push it foward.
Ferguson could only spend money generated from his success !
Theres a big difference
He took a damn 8years to Win it, almost a decade.
Fergi took 7 yrs to win the fa cup😂😂😂😂
@@stanh8071 i'm sure he did that on an average budget.
@stanh8071 it took Fergie 32 years to win only 2 UCL... and Pep 3 UCL in 14 years
Man city have gained a massive fan base over the last 8 years
Brilliant troll message, I like it 👍🏻 lol 😂
Where, Kazakhstan?
That’s some going right there, 1.25 fans per year, what an achievement. Such a massive fan base they can’t fill their stadium.
Glowingly and respectfully what a load of keek United done it with 6 academy players on the pitch….city on the back on 115 ffp charge’s absolute joke no comparison
Danny isn't the sharpest knife in the room anyway
At least Danny doesn't constantly use words completely out of context due to trying to sound clever like Simon regularly does.
No one’s opinion will change on Man City especially if a guilty verdict comes back Pep Guardiola isn’t as great as people claim everybody knows money wins titles everywhere he has been they have been a big super club
Danny Murphy been rockin up that scouse dandruff
Jordan claiming City aren't underappreciated because they lost to Zalaegerszeg, oh hang on that was Utd, in the preliminary rounds ffs. Carry on with your point Simon.
if funny how people try to brush over the fact city have spent alot of money, im sure they have spent more money on defenders than any other team in football history, just alone
When Liverpool was crushing the whole league back in 2019/20 the narrative from the City fans was it was the Laporte injury that made the difference. Holy smokes! Pep literally had 350M worth of defenders (more than the total estimated value of most EPL clubs) and his cupboard was bare after one injury?!? The joke at the time was: "Do not worry. Pep will spend another 150M on defenders." You know what happened? Pep spent 150M buying defenders in summer 2020.
Pep is a great manager he ain’t no Fergie and never will be
In your eyes
@@gvimalku nope in many people’s eyes thanks
This is not even a debate pep has dominated European sir Alex didn’t
If it is about money, why is the current Ma U struggling to make top 4?
Fergie knew exactly when to leave Man Utd. His record speaks for itself but he would have the done the exact same as moyes and the rest, and thats he would have failed. Times change.
Just one question for all u fools… SAF coached how many teams? And during his 3 decades of coaching United, how many star players he had and how many he made in comparison to PEp?
Simon = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯
Is influential the correct word? On whom? Players, press, refs who? Fergie would stand up and it was about to go down. Imagine being an official and seeing you're on duty as the 4th during a United match. I'd have a pint before, halftime and at 90 min. They got the hair dryer too lol!
