He was considered before Adam Lambert but apparently, Brian and Roger felt he was actually TOO much like Freddie. That's why they went with Adam. When I read about this, I truly got the feeling that because Marc Martel does sound so much like Freddie, (and even resembles him a little bit), that it would have been too difficult Brian and Rodger to perform with him all the time. That's a huge compliment for Marc but...also kind of sucks for him at the same time!

It DOES make perfect sense but this reality has become a caricature of what used to be a somewhat normal existence. But to me,Queen was about Freddie Mercury,so, I would be thrilled tt1 aso see Queen Celebration with Marc singing.

He is good, but he isnt Freddie. He cant do the writing, he doesnt have the charisma. In my opnion Queen is dead, only Brian and Rodger dont seem to know what the rest of the world does. But certainly he is better than that clown that they sing with whose name I wont mention. So if the show has to go on, it would be better with Marc.... but maybe best if not at all.
