But as an occasional international traveler, I made up my mind a few years ago that I will only travel to destinations offering a visa on arrival or a simple online e-visa to Indians. Jai Hind!

I personally would not call it harassment. The staff was courteous - yes they did take time to check through your passports and visas, multiple times. But they were courteous at all times. They finished everybody else's processing before finally doing yours, so that delays wouldnt happen. And also they held the bus to wait for you. They probably werent accustomed to a passport/visa situation like that and so they did their due diligence. I wouldnt call it harassment. Maybe a delay. But not harassment. :)
@@techholidays8560 might be. But they should have an alternate and speedy method to resolve such issues. The issue is not limited to Peach airlines. It can be found everywhere with multiple airlines. As a traveler we can't do anything to resolve such issues, so the airlines/countries should find a way to solve the problems within a short period of time so that it doesn't cause any inconvenience to that traveler and the people waiting behind him. And thank you for pointing out the problem.

Okinawa is a small airport, they might not have dealt with such a special travel permit scenario, that's why they took a long to process it. It always takes longer in japan when dealing with a new thing. Narita or Haneda would have processed it much quicker

Sham marriages, labour exploitation (usually they start a small shop or business and make other students to work for less than legal minimum wage), I can talk about this for whole day, so many incidents. Crime is another part especially against local women, guys are very poor in controlling their sexual needs and were many incidents of violations and unfortunately all of it comes in the front page in news. If you take sum of all crimes by Indian descendants there almost 80% names will start with Punjabi/Haryana.. Reason is most who end up there are not highly educated like from South India so they tend to commit crimes

I face the same type of situation every time I travel to India or the gulf country. Full of checking and question really fed off. The reason behind this is I traveled to Iran for official work( 2017). But Still, they ask several questions, and need to wait for more than an hour to get my boarding and immigration done. We can't say it is harassment but it's a safety procedure every country and airline follows. We need to respect and obey the rules.

Wrong to call it discrimination. Since it was a regional airport, the staff might have not had prior experience with an Indian passport holder traveling to Taiwan. If for any reason you were deported their careers will be affected. This would not have happened if you had flown from Tokyo.

I wondered to hear, and a bit sad that you got a bad experience as a tourist in Japan. Actually, Japanese people's life is run by specific rules and they are strictly bound to them. They cannot think of deviating a little bit from it. If they don't know some, then they will try to figure it out some way or try to find an alternative. Here since Okinawa is a small airport, they wouldn't have faced this situation of an Indian flying from there to Taiwan, instead of India. You should have chosen either of the main airports Narita or Haneda. Taiwan is a beautiful, self-proclaimed independent country, once part of China. Actually, it's another name is the Taiwanese Republic Of China. I think they still haven't got recognition from UN, but most of the other countries including India treat them as Independent. They have their own currency "New Taiwanese Dollar". If we visit the 101 building in Taipei, the anti-chinese campaigns are directly visible in the street. Some of the attractions are 1. Taipei City, 2. Taipei Zoo, 3. Maokong Gondola (rope way), 4. Old Bali Street, 5. Wufenpu Shopping Street, 6. Yehliu Geo Park, 7. Raohe Street Night Market 6. Elephant Mountain, etc.

The problem is not with the passport but the lack of knowledge/experience/expertise among the officials how to deal with a situation.
I think it mostly likes because their passport was not Machine Readable.
Due to this, they had to check multiple times to add.

Okinawa is a small airport, they might not have dealt with such a special travel permit scenario, that's why they took a long to process it. It always takes longer in japan when dealing with a new thing. Narita or Haneda would have processed it much quicker

@@moltress22 They do traditionally fraudulent application for student visa to start with (recently Australia banned Punjab and Haryana students all together, search for the news).. Sham marriages, labour exploitation (usually they start a small shop or business and make other students to work for less than legal minimum wage), I can talk about this for whole day, so many incidents. Crime is another part especially against local women, guys are very poor in controlling their sexual needs and were many incidents of violations and unfortunately all of it comes in the front page in news. If you take sum of all crimes by Indian descendants there almost 80% names will start with Punjabi/Haryana.. Reason is most who end up there are not highly educated like from South India so they tend to commit crimes

I face the same type of situation every time I travel to India or the gulf country. Full of checking and question really fed off. The reason behind this is I traveled to Iran for official work( 2017). But Still, they ask several questions, and need to wait for more than an hour to get my boarding and immigration done. We can't say it is harassment but it's a safety procedure every country and airline follows. We need to respect and obey the rules.

Wrong to call it discrimination. Since it was a regional airport, the staff might have not had prior experience with an Indian passport holder traveling to Taiwan. If for any reason you were deported their careers will be affected. This would not have happened if you had flown from Tokyo.

I wondered to hear, and a bit sad that you got a bad experience as a tourist in Japan. Actually, Japanese people's life is run by specific rules and they are strictly bound to them. They cannot think of deviating a little bit from it. If they don't know some, then they will try to figure it out some way or try to find an alternative. Here since Okinawa is a small airport, they wouldn't have faced this situation of an Indian flying from there to Taiwan, instead of India. You should have chosen either of the main airports Narita or Haneda.
Taiwan is a beautiful, self-proclaimed independent country, once part of China. Actually, it's another name is the Taiwanese Republic Of China. I think they still haven't got recognition from UN, but most of the other countries including India treat them as Independent. They have their own currency "New Taiwanese Dollar". If we visit the 101 building in Taipei, the anti-chinese campaigns are directly visible in the street. Some of the attractions are
1. Taipei City, 2. Taipei Zoo, 3. Maokong Gondola (rope way), 4. Old Bali Street, 5. Wufenpu Shopping Street, 6. Yehliu Geo Park, 7. Raohe Street Night Market 6. Elephant Mountain, etc.
