I want to share something with you. I went through a season recently where I was so scared I couldnt even make a decision. Keep in mind Im a former helicopter rescue swimmer in the Navy, a trauma nurse, and so forth, so ive been around stress. But this season literally took me to a place where I could not see a way through, around, or over this barrier of fear. God showed me a couple things in my heart that opened the door to this fear
1. Im a people pleaser-I came to big decisions where I was going to let people down either way
2. I listen to too many voices/opinions that cloud my judgment and block Gods voice in my life(its a still small voice remember)
3. Catastrophic all or nothing thinking(what if I fail, lose, suffer, miss)
4. What if God is not with me and Im deceived?
I began to distrust myself, question God, and be easily influenced. That being said, God didnt give you fear, its a spirit. God knows the path you take from beginning to end. He never leaves. perfect love casts out fear and is found in the still small voice. Trust yourself in partnership with the holy spirit, trust that you are hearing the Lord. dont forsake the quiet time with Him, because it is ONLY in quietness that you can hear the still small voice. Im praying for you sister. God bless you

I know I have always had the worst Christmases. I can only think of one Christmas when I was a child where my family actually started doing a little bit better because of a friend of my moms. We even managed to go to Christmas Eve church for Christmas Eve. Then of course my mom got rid of this woman out of her life! But all my Christmases have always been not good ones. There’s always something from mid range drama to extremely high drama going on every time. Like this year I lost my beloved cat out the door, two months before Christmas. I told Jesus that I don’t understand what the deal is with me and Christmas but I need to start having some great Christmases at. I’m just starting to get so sad. I don’t even want to like celebrate it anymore or I keep buying new decorations and all because the old ones just remind me of sad times every year. I’m like what is it with allowing me to have horrible times at Christmas my whole life am I not supposed to celebrate it? What’s going on here. Also, I’m the one that asked for prayer because I just left my church and Me and my family definitely need prayers of protection. It’s the Anglican church, and we’ve gone to the global Methodist. People in the Anglican/Episcopal churches in my opinion, or just nothing but huge, which governs.

I love TSC, but I’m concerned you’re using the Passion translation. There are tons of resources available which unequivocally show that we shouldn’t use it.
I’ve always considered TSC a biblical and theologically solid church, but the passion translation is not that.
