In this video myself and a couple of mates head for a night on Dale Head in The Lake District National Park. The walk itself is nothing special just a short 1 mile from Honistor Slate Mine. Its mainly a gradual ascent to the summit. Once at the summit we found a spot just off the summit on a flat patch of grass. We all cooked up some good scran and then watched the sun go down. Unfortunately the stars didn’t align and we never got round 2 of the aurora or even a glimpse of the milkyway. Then just like that its morning and time to pack away and head back to the car. Lovely conditions there Chris. The pitch is fantastic with the views as after all that’s what we do it for. You were correct when you pointed all the places out too and over the years I have been up all them but it’s always different seeing them from the other side. It’s nice to have a bit of sun now too isn’t it. Looks like you have getting the same anti freeze down jacket as me too which is great. Atb mark
Glad you enjoyed the video Mark. Glad I was right about which mountain was which haha I'm not the best even though I have done most of them. But yeh it's good to camp on different fells to see different viewing angles. Yeh I've had the jacket a while and it only comes out for when the temperature is abit warmer, does the job. I do enjoy abit of sun but I hate the bugs. Catch you on the next one 👊
