      Big rod. Big reel. Standard fayre if you want to cast the distance at Barston!

    Nice one Jon, that looked like a tight but fair match. Wonder what Rob did to do that weight or was he just on the fish? Matrix rod? Tight Lines

    Great video as always. Which model of Horizon XD are you using?

      One of the original Matrix 4m 100g distance models. Had it a couple of years and not used or tested a rod that's bettered it for chucking while still being ok for playing fish.

    Sure you said you may use expanders , how do you hook them or keep them on / from squashing on the feeder , if I heard correct😳

      @JonArthur  Před 5 lety +2

      It's tricky but it can be done with a hair-rigged super stop or conventional hair rig and boilie stop. A touch of gelatine in the expanders helps to make them more rubbery and maintain their consistency. Dynamite Durable Hook Pellets are also worth a go for this. It's easier with 6mms than 4mms but both can be hair-rigged. Double 4mm can be particularly good on a hair.
