I work as a TSA officer in Europe, and I don´t know how they operate when it comes to liquids, but if you´re planning on travelling to Europe, you may consider the guards will be extra picky when it comes to your liquid makeup. Foundations, concealer, liquid liner, liquid lipsticks etc, they all have to be inside a 1l plastic bag among your other liquids. You may get away with it, but some day you may throw away items because it´s considered too much liquids. My advice is to fill up small bottles with your necessities, but since you´re going to be away for a month, maybe you should buy certain items at your destination if they don´t last a month.
Totally agree! Carry a scissors may not be a good idea too.
You forgot one of the most important travel essentials, ESP if you're staying in hostels...flip flops. I'd never ever EVER shower in a hostel without them.
I switched to only sports bras a year or more ago and what a life changer! The girls feel/look better and my comfort level is optimal.
Okay. Two comments. The liquid makeup needs to go into the liquids bag and TSA is definitely not going to allow you to bring your straight edge razor or scissors along in the carryon bag. I don't know how you got away with this but it's definitely not good advice.
I'm allowed to bring straight edge razors and the scissors.. I always have
Yeah you can be razors. And makeup can go in another bag, it doesnt have to be in the liquids bag.
Bring*
Lots of discount airlines in Europe are strict about this. I would definitely put liquid makeup in a clear bag.
@@chrissjoy the discount airlines can be strict with the size of bag you can bring as a carry on. However, a lot of the European countries are very strict about following the liquid rules. I definitely err on the side of caution and put my makeup in the liquids bag, unless it's obviously a powder or solid.
This was very helpful, I've never even been on a plane before but I'm traveling to Germany for 6 weeks in a Biochemistry Lab Research program. Will definitely keep some of these tips in mind.
Shouldn't the makeup liquids go in the liquid ziplock...
thats what I was thinking! all her liquid make up should've gone in the liquid bag
yes x
Own
Wish I would have had this when I travelled through Europe for three weeks in May. Def got a shoulder injury from dragging my heavy suitcase around large airports and cobblestone streets. 🤦🏽♀️ Travelling with just a carry on is such a useful skill!
I like the idea about the bandana to mark the luggage...nice.ty
i recommend using packing cubes instead of these plastic bags to fit more clothes in the bag :) They're a lot more reusable.
Hi everyone!! I realize trying to cut down the video as much as I can made me neglect important details I should’ve mentioned. 😩
1. I’ve checked online and I believe you CAN bring small scissors with you in your carry on luggage as long as the scissors are less than 4 inches. Razors are also allowed as long as they have that plastic part covering the blades (in my case, I didn’t and I ended up being okay).
2. As for foundation, I think it does have to be placed in your clear bag for liquids! I clearly didn’t have enough room for liquids in my ziploc bag, so I left my foundation in my makeup bag as I traveled throughout Europe. Out of 7 countries/airports (London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Lisbon, & Madrid), I only had trouble in one - Paris. All they did was take the foundation out of my makeup bag and place it in another ziploc bag!
3. One tip I have that allowed me to travel with a little more liquids than allowed (as shown in #2) was leaving my makeup bag in my carry-on luggage and placing my bag for liquids in my personal item (i.e. backpack). Being in two separate bags, TSA was willing to place my foundation in a separate bag even though I already had a full bag of liquids in my backpack! Of course I don’t recommend this, especially since you’d be at risk of having your liquids thrown away. But if you’re feeling desperate and traveling for a few weeks...this is what I did. 😂
4. LAUNDRY!!! This is how I was able to travel with such little clothing. I typically did laundry every week or so (out of 4 weeks of traveling, I did laundry 3 times)! Most hostels have great washers and dryers for a cheap price (average was about 5-7 euros for wash + dry) & most sell detergent as well (about 2 euros)
5. I think I forgot to mention this in the video, but I traveled with a travel towel too!! Most hostels DO have towels, but sometimes they come with an extra charge (about 2-5 euros). To avoid extra charges, I decided to bring my own! Amazon sells a great one for $10 (link in description)
Great video!
Where are your towel and wash items? Do you buy them abroad?
I love these kind of videos. I Recently went away for a week and I completely forgot to pack underwear! Like wtf 😭
The bandana on the handles is a great idea
I'm studying abroad in Spain this summer for three weeks!! This video was super helpful as I am also interning so I have to pack "professional" clothes as well.
Oh my gosh I’m also studying abroad in Spain for a month this summer 😊
I'm going to Europe for my first time! Spending a couple of weeks in Scotland/Ireland. Thanks for your video 💕
Kathy Barrios Thats awesome. I’m going to Japan for 3 months !
Where is your houndstooth/plaid coat from? 😯
Omg I love your USAC backpack. Are those available to purchase somewhere???
Shouldn’t your foundation, concealer, mascara, and eye drops be in the liquids bag also? They probably wouldn’t fit, but they are liquids. (???)
Arilanna Sukhdeo I travel multiple times a year and I don’t use a clear bag for those items and they go through security fine.
Lupe Garcia do you have the pre-screening TSA approval? Most people who travel often do for a fee like $85 a year and they don’t have to go through the screening process.
It depends! In the US i never get stopped with my makeup, but on my way back from Grand Cayman they were very strict about the quart size bag. Before traveling (and depending on the length) its definitely worth looking into makeup minis at Sephora/Ulta. If you have plenty of time - it's also worth trying to reach out to your favorite skincare brands directly to see if they can offer you some sample packets that are great for traveling!
What a great video quality! I find your video so helpful! I am a traveler too, and as for me what suits me for my travel is my Nomad Lane Bento Bag. It is a duffel carry-on bag that packs like a suitcase, has a lot of compartments inside, and can fit under the seat.
Thx! I needed this vid!
Where's the purple puffer coat from? I need it
Thanks for this! I’m going to Amsterdam!
you did this at the perfect moment, i'm traveling out of the country for a week literally next week and my dumbass was really gonna do a carry on and checked bag so this is SOOO helpful! ya girl gots to save that money
Sarah Ratzloff literally same
Just loved that you said "women or men that wear makeup"
Yes! 🙌

Came here to say this 🖤✨
Me too
I’m trying to decide where to go for my honeymoon. We recently got engaged and are most likely gonna just so courthouse and spend our money on traveling. I’m thinking Greece 🤗
My dream is to go to Greece and act like I’m in Mamma Mia 😂😂 All those white ass buildings and all that blue ass water. Congrats on your engagement and hope you have a lovely honeymoon when you go x
Hope you get to spend time in the Lesser famous Greek islands rather than going to santorini and mykonos where it's super over-touristy and merchants tend to overprice everything.
Is there a link for the suitcase?
Great travel tips, they definitely could help if you travel frequently. I have one tip to offer myself, if you are flying through DFW, ATL, PHL, or CLT and have a long layover, stay with us at Minute Suites. We can make your time more relaxing and you can take a nap in private room.
You didn’t really mention how you make so few items last through an entire month without rewearing them 10 times each. Some tips on doing laundry while traveling would have been the cherry on top!
link for the bag ?
Hi! How did you manage one entire month of traveling? Are you a full time youtiber?
You’re gorgeous. And I love those ankle socks from Costco!
Shouldn’t the liquid make up and Visine be in the liquids bag?
We're did you get the makeup bag plz
What luggage is this??? please respond!! Such a good price
Fold your underwear neatly, it will cut the space you are using in half, stuff your shoes with small items and store them in a cheap shower cap to protect your clothing. We really do not use a lot of product over a couple of weeks so ditch the full size for travel size products.
Hello, did you not get stopped for your makeup not being in the liquid bag? I am traveling to Europe and will be flying with in the country so a total of 6 flights . But am stressing out about my liquids. Because TsA says even creams are liquid. Please Help
I went on vacation early June and I’m finally leaving Saturday. I got so much stuff while traveling with family at theme parks and tourist shops that I don’t even know if I can fit it all. I’m originally from here (ca) but moved in March so I didn’t think I would get much, just stuff from Disneyland, but no. We went on a two week road trip up to Idaho and me being me, I got a bunch of things. Kinda regretting it now.
Really needed this i am travelling on a 1 month trip
Wow okay can u put a list how many items u put cuz girl I need This thanks 😊
10/10 reccommend if u arent good at packing for a long trip thank you
I want to know your tips and tricks for being able not to include your liquid makeup in the 3-1-1 rule? Because even lipgloss is a Liquid. I noticed that you separated your makeup liquids from you facial liquids? That’s a nice flat makeup bag you found☺️
How much is your baggage total weight?
were in Europe did you go?
does liquid makeup not count for the clear bag policy? did you have any issues with that when traveling?
happygirl213xx yes they do need to be in the liquid bag. (Traveled in europe: the Netherlands, France, and Spain)
I haven't had problems with it yet - travelling through Spain, France, UK, Ireland, US, Canada - I travel with a very small bottle of foundation in my make up bag, but with my primer and setting spray in my liquids bag. My little eyebrow scissor usually gets flagged, but the security tend just wave it off and let me by lol.
Thank you so much very helpful
I just arrived to Cádiz in Spain for my semester abroad and didn't realize ti would be this cold :(.
Same when I went to India last year in January sometimes was soo cold especially night
I am going to Albania and Greece for a month then Seoul, South Korea for two weeks. 😊
Lush also makes solid shampoo and conditioner. I’m going to get that when I travel through Europe. I just went on an 8 day trip and way over packed 🙄
thank you!
Hey! I go to Cal Poly in slo too 👍🏼
You could have used the compression bag for your clothes and saved more space too.
I’m going to Thailand in March!! This video was super helpful😊
i had to pack for a 4 month trip for work lets just say that was struggle i defiantly overpacked and packed way more then i needed to. :(
You can not bring scissor for carry on and the way you pack is not organized.
Some makeup (like lip gloss) are liquids !!!!
wait why would you need student id?
I want to go to Greece so badly 😅
Not allowed scissors on carry on in our country
I don’t see traveling with just a few for one month
Lmao this is the carry on for someone who has never traveled out of a carry on
Lol I literally thought you cut your hair... you resemble zoe kravitz in the thumbnail
Thanks
All the comments address the razor. What about the liquids/liquid makeup? How do you get away with liquid makeup not in your clear bag?
Yes. Also, razors are allowed in a carry-on if they are regular shaving razors and not straight up blades. However, I don't know how so many CZcamsrs seem to get away with as many liquids ! I took a plane last summer and I got issues with my liquids when I had a bag that was supposed to be tsa approved and bottles that were smaller than the limit. The person checking my bag thought my toiletry bag was too full. I don't know how they get away with this.
Going to Tokyo
This summer I am studying abroad in Greece, Israel, Turkey, and Egypt!
Lol your makeup should also liquids fit in your other 3-1-1 bag . You are going to get your makeup liquids taken away by TSA😁🤔😱
Random comment. I live 30 minutes from Cal Poly!
Your make have liquids? And you already stuffed your liquid bag?😂
People are going to their grandmother home right for 1 month on May month ✅ so they are watching thi s 😆
FYI you were lucky TSA didn't confiscate your makeup liquid foundation items.
putting the shoes on the bed gives me anxiety
moving to Peru fro 6 months lol
can't believe you put your dirty ass shoes on your bed, and not only that, the cover is white lol
Bruh ur make up is liquid
That’s a lot of makeup
Tip- If you want to blend in with Europeans and look less like a tourist, wear any other shoes than sneakers. Americans wear sneakers for everything. Europeans really don't. Wear converse or any other causal shoe! When I went to Ireland I wore converse and blended in so well that no one could tell I didn't live in Ireland already.
That is not enough for a month! you literally took a couple of items from your wardrobe not ironed, picked battered shoes/boots and then bunged them in the case..this video has zero to do with packing and everything to do with the sponsorship and freebies and to generate ££ you didn't even pack the liquid make up in the liquid bag and the eye drops too... you couldn't even be bothered to show the right size bag! those products look too big for TSA and they are supposed to fit comfortably.......shameless! I went travelling last month and again next week and i can fit my items into a small bag and it was under 8kg and i took more than you did, that is because i know how to pack and am not relying on ££ from all the obvious plugging ...btw you should state in the video it is an advert!!
Maybe if you said the same thing without being aggressive you could have started a constructive discussion?
@@lovepilie Why should i ? the video was one long advert and youtube rules state adverts have to be clearly stated, it is insulting our intelligence when no effort goes into the video. An attractive well turned out woman would never been seen dead in scruffy, creased and drab clothes like that and suggesting that is what she took on a month's holiday is wrong! At least i am honest and open unlike this video! I might be blunt but at least i am not taking advantage of people's intelligence by trying to fool them!
@@tijay8507 well if you feel like the way you say things brings your point accross...
@Ti Jay I would love to see you make a vid for a month! If u could please do it because I’ll be gone for a month to Oceania soon
@@luudupree22 I have got osteoarthritis that makes me slow doing things but if you honestly need advice and tips i would be happy to help
Wait....did she just say: men and women who wear makeup? Ughh, I will never make this my normal. Time to dislike this video 😔
hope you will become more open minded and have a great interaction with a male person who wears makeup one day ☺️
@@luudupree22 I do...when they do my makeup. (Only)
Because you care so much about what the next person does? Why are you letting something that has zero impact on you affect your ability to simply continue to like a video and move on with your day? Hopefully 2 years later you’ve got it together lol
