    Congratulations dude, I wish I could have finished my own 3d animation classes, but had to drop out due to covid and lack of funds. This video certainly encourage me to look to take on animation tutoring if I can sense things have finally settled for me. Good luck dude

      Hi there. I'm so sorry to hear that you had to cut your formal education short. Keep at it though, as I said in the video, you don't need any degree in animation, and these days the internet can teach you anything you want to know for free. Though tutoring is a good option too. Good luck to you too, and thanks for the comment :D

      I'm self-learning from CZcams, Udemy and others. As long as you have the necessary skills and talents, that is all it matters to employers. Degrees are just papers.

    • @mix-up9003
      @mix-up9003 Před rokem

      @@ritageraghty3261 I am well aware of that credo, it's just very hard to be self motivating, and not having any people with professional experience as a guide or mentor, it makes it hard to tell if you are even progressing or if your are doing anything wrong in your work process. And using programs that aren't industry standards in the industry make it that much less appealing for employers, unless you are willing to cash out thousands of dollars to have the license to use them.

    Pretty cool work! Have you seen Captain Yajima? If not, it is a 3D animated short made to look like stop motion.

    What is faster to do animation? Blender or Moho?

    • @SketchySquirrel
      @SketchySquirrel  Před rokem +2

      Hi there, it depends on what you mean by faster? Moho is faster to learn, and faster to produce simple results, however if you put the time into learning blender you can create shots with a lot of complexity, very quickly. I hope this is helpful, let me know if you have any more questions :D

    • @micahbell7840

      @@SketchySquirrel I mean, faster to do short films? 😇 Thanks for noticing me

    • @SketchySquirrel
      @SketchySquirrel  Před rokem +1

      @@micahbell7840 Hi again, sorry to, yet again, not give a straight forward Moho or Blender answer, as once again it depends on what you want to create. As a general rule I would say the Moho is faster. However if you want to integrate any 3D effects, e.g. backgrounds / props, then despite the fact that Moho has features for this, blender would be the faster option. Equally, if you create your rigs quickly, so you can jump into animation, then Moho is faster, however if you want to spend time making a really robust rig, so that you an make lots of animation really quickly then Blender certainly gives you more options. Again I hope that this is helpful :D

      @@SketchySquirrel last question. For you, what is the best?
      Thanks for being kind to your fans. I pray for you to have a successful Animation career.

    • @SketchySquirrel
      @SketchySquirrel  Před rokem +1

      Hi there. Ultimately both options are great tools, that do their jobs very well. Personally I prefer Blender, because firstly, it's open source, which might not mean a lot to many people, but I find that when Interacting with opensource tools, it just feels like its trying to help you, while closed source tools like moho, it can feel like you're fighting against it. Also, the rigging tools in blender make more sense to me, they're very modular, to the point that it's like programming with bones and constraints, while moho is designed to create things quickly, at the cost of limiting it's tool set and functionality. Thank you for your kindess, and awesome questions. Let me know if you have any more questions :D
